Matthew 6:16-24 Fasting and Treasure

In this teaching, Jesus calls us to a life of sincere devotion. Fasting is not for public piety but for the Father who sees in secret. Treasures should be stored in heaven, because where our treasure is, our heart will be also. The eye must be single, so the whole body is full of light. Finally, we must choose one master—God, not money. All four aspects point to one core: wholehearted loyalty to God.
