1.La sabiduría edificó su casa, Labró sus siete columnas.Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2.Mató sus víctimas, mezcló su vino, Y puso su mesa.She hath killed her beasts; She hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table:
3.Envió sus criadas; Sobre lo más alto de la ciudad clamó.She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city:
4.Dice a cualquier simple: Ven acá. A los faltos de cordura dice:Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,
5.Venid, comed mi pan, Y bebed del vino que yo he mezclado.Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6.Dejad las simplezas, y vivid, Y andad por el camino de la inteligencia.Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.
7.El que corrige al escarnecedor, se acarrea afrenta; El que reprende al impío, se atrae mancha.He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
8.No reprendas al escarnecedor, para que no te aborrezca; Corrige al sabio, y te amará.Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.
9.Da al sabio, y será más sabio; Enseña al justo, y aumentará su saber.Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
10.El temor de Jehová es el principio de la sabiduría, Y el conocimiento del Santísimo es la inteligencia.The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11.Porque por mí se aumentarán tus días, Y años de vida se te añadirán.For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased.
12.Si fueres sabio, para ti lo serás; Y si fueres escarnecedor, pagarás tú solo.If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it.
13.La mujer insensata es alborotadora; Es simple e ignorante.The foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knoweth nothing.
14.Se sienta en una silla a la puerta de su casa, En los lugares altos de la ciudad,And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,
15.Para llamar a los que pasan por el camino, Que van por sus caminos derechos.To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways:

17.Las aguas hurtadas son dulces, Y el pan comido en oculto es sabroso.Stolen waters are sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
18.Y no saben que allí están los muertos; Que sus convidados están en lo profundo del Seol.But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
