2.你吩咐以色列人转回，安营在比哈希录前，在密夺和海中间，对着巴力洗分，靠近海边安营。Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea.
3.法老必论到以色列人说，他们在地上走迷了路，旷野把他们困住了。Pharaoh will say of the Israelites, “They are astray in the land; the wilderness has closed in on them.”
4.我要使法老的心刚硬，他就必追赶他们，好叫我在法老和他的全军身上得荣耀，埃及人就知道我是耶和华。他们就这样行了。Then I will stiffen Pharaoh’s heart and he will pursue them, that I may gain glory through Pharaoh and all his host; and the Egyptians shall know that I am GOD.And they did so.
5.有人告诉埃及王说百姓已经逃走了，法老和他的臣仆就向百姓改变了心意，说：“我们让以色列人离开，不再服事我们，这是怎么回事呢？”When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his courtiers had a change of heart about the people and said, “What is this we have done, releasing Israel from our service?”
6.他吩咐预备车辆，就带着兵马一同前行He ordered his chariot and took his force with him;
7.他带了他精选的六百辆战车，以及其余的埃及战车，车上都有军官；原文指"御车上第三人"，因此引申为"副官"、"军官"，统辖所有战车。he took six hundred of his picked chariots, and the rest of the chariots of Egypt, with officers; originally “third man on royal chariot”; hence “adjutant,” “officer.” in all of them.
8.上帝使埃及王法老的心刚硬，他就追赶以色列人。以色列人昂然无惧地前行，GOD stiffened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he gave chase to the Israelites. As the Israelites were departing defiantly,
9.埃及人追赶他们，法老所有的战马、马车、马兵与军队就在海边靠近比哈希录、对着巴力洗分的地方，追上了正在那里安营的以色列人。the Egyptians gave chase to them, and all the chariot horses of Pharaoh, his riders, and his warriors overtook them encamped by the sea, near Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon.
10.法老临近的时候，以色列人看见埃及人追赶来，就甚惧怕，向耶和华哀求。As Pharaoh drew near, the Israelites caught sight of the Egyptians advancing upon them. Greatly frightened, the Israelites cried out to GOD.
11.他们对摩西说：“难道埃及没有坟地，你把我们带到旷野来死吗？你把我们从埃及领出来，这是什么意思呢？”And they said to Moses, “Was it for want of graves in Egypt that you brought us to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us, taking us out of Egypt?
12.我们在埃及不是这样对你说过吗：“任我们吧，我们情愿服事埃及人，因为服事埃及人比死在旷野还好。”Is this not the very thing we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us be, and we will serve the Egyptians, for it is better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness’?”
13.摩西对百姓说：「不要惧怕！只管站住，看耶和华今天为你们所施行的拯救；因为你们今天所看见的埃及人，必永远不再看见了。」But Moses said to the people, “Have no fear! Stand by, and witness the deliverance that GOD will work for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again.
14.耶和华必为你们争战，你们只管静默。GOD will battle for you; you hold your peace!”
15.耶和华对摩西说：“你为什么向我哀求呢？你吩咐以色列人往前走。”Then GOD said to Moses, “Why do you cry out to Me? Tell the Israelites to go forward.
16.你举起你的杖，向海伸手，把海分开，使以色列人下到海中，走在干地上。And you lift up your rod and hold out your arm over the sea and split it, so that the Israelites may march into the sea on dry ground.
17.我要使埃及人的心刚硬，他们就跟着他们下去；我要在法老和他的全军、战车、马兵身上得荣耀。And I will stiffen the hearts of the Egyptians so that they go in after them; and I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his warriors, his chariots, and his riders.
18.使埃及人知道我是神，我在法老、他的车辆、他的骑兵身上得荣耀。Let the Egyptians know that I am GOD, when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots, and his riders.”
19.原来有神的使者在他们前面走，现在他转到他们后面走；云柱也从前头转到他们后头，The angel of God, who had been going ahead of the Israelite army, now moved and followed behind them; and the pillar of cloud shifted from in front of them and took up a place behind them,
20.它来到埃及军和以色列军之间。这样有云有黑暗，并且使那夜昏暗不清，使彼此整夜不能相近。and it came between the army of the Egyptians and the army of Israel. Thus there was the cloud with the darkness, and it cast a spell upon, “cast a spell” or “curse.” the night, so that the one could not come near the other all through the night.
21.摩西向海伸手，耶和华便用大东风，使海水一夜退去，把海水变为干地，水就分开了。Then Moses held out his arm over the sea and GOD drove back the sea with a strong east wind all that night, and turned the sea into dry ground. The waters were split,
22.以色列人下到海中，走在干地上，水在他们左右作墙垣。and the Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.
23.埃及人追赶他们，下到海中，都是法老的马匹、车辆和马兵。The Egyptians came in pursuit after them into the sea, all of Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and riders.
24.晨更的时候，神从火柱云柱中向埃及军队观看，使埃及军队大乱。At the morning watch, GOD looked down upon the Egyptian army from a pillar of fire and cloud, and threw the Egyptian army into panic.
25.[神]封闭——与数个古卷版本相符。与其他译本"取下"形成对比——使他们的车轮难以行进。埃及人说："我们从以色列人面前逃走吧，因为耶和华正为他们与埃及争战。"[God] locked, with several ancient versions. In contrast to others “took off.” the wheels of their chariots so that they moved forward with difficulty. And the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the Israelites, for GOD is fighting for them against Egypt.”
26.耶和华对摩西说：“你向海伸杖，叫水仍合在埃及人并他们的车辆、马兵身上。”Then GOD said to Moses, “Hold out your arm over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians and upon their chariots and upon their riders.”
27.摩西向海伸杖，到了黎明，海水复原，埃及人见海水回来就急忙逃跑。耶和华却将埃及人推翻在海中。Moses held out his arm over the sea, and at daybreak the sea returned to its normal state, and the Egyptians fled at its approach. But GOD hurled the Egyptians into the sea.
28.水回流，淹没了车辆和马兵。那些跟着以色列人下海法老的全军，连一个也没有剩下。The waters turned back and covered the chariots and the riders—Pharaoh’s entire army that followed them into the sea; not one of them remained.
29.但以色列人却在海中走过干地，水在他们左右两边成了墙壁。But the Israelites had marched through the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.
30.那日，耶和华拯救以色列人脱离埃及人的手。以色列人看见埃及人死在海边。Thus GOD delivered Israel that day from the Egyptians. Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the shore of the sea.
31.以色列人看见神向埃及人所施展的大能，就敬畏神，并且信靠神和神的仆人摩西。And when Israel saw the wondrous power that GOD had wielded against the Egyptians, the people feared GOD; they had faith in GOD and in Moses—God’s servant.
