Life & Story
In the year King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord in the temple and was called as a prophet (Isa 6). His book spans judgment and comfort: chapters 1–39 address Judah and the nations, while 40–66 look toward restoration and the Messiah. Chapter 53, the suffering servant, is read by the New Testament as a portrait of Jesus' passion (Acts 8:32–35).
