Life & Story
Favored by his father and hated for his dreams, Joseph was sold into Egypt. After trials in Potiphar's house and prison, God gave him the interpretation of Pharaoh's dreams and made him vizier of Egypt (Gen 37–41). In the famine he forgave his brothers: 'You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good' (Gen 50:20) — the redemptive climax of Genesis.
