1.Profecía sobre Egipto. He aquí que Jehová monta sobre una ligera nube, y entrará en Egipto; y los ídolos de Egipto temblarán delante de él, y desfallecerá el corazón de los egipcios dentro de ellos.The burden of Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
2.Levantaré egipcios contra egipcios, y cada uno peleará contra su hermano, cada uno contra su prójimo; ciudad contra ciudad, y reino contra reino.And I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3.Y el espíritu de Egipto se desvanecerá en medio de él, y destruiré su consejo; y preguntarán a sus imágenes, a sus hechiceros, a sus evocadores y a sus adivinos.And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek unto the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
4.Y entregaré a Egipto en manos de señor duro, y rey violento se enseñoreará de ellos, dice el Señor, Jehová de los ejércitos.And I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
5.Y las aguas del mar faltarán, y el río se agotará y secará.And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.
6.Y se alejarán los ríos, se agotarán y secarán las corrientes de los fosos; la caña y el carrizo serán cortados.And the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away.
7.La pradera de junto al río, de junto a la ribera del río, y toda sementera del río, se secarán, se perderán, y no serán más.The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.
8.Los pescadores también se entristecerán; harán duelo todos los que echan anzuelo en el río, y desfallecerán los que extienden red sobre las aguas.And the fishers shall lament, and all they that cast angle into the Nile shall mourn, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
9.Los que labran lino fino y los que tejen redes serán confundidos,Moreover they that work in combed flax, and they that weave white cloth, shall be confounded.
10.porque todas sus redes serán rotas; y se entristecerán todos los que hacen viveros para peces.And the pillars of Egypt shall be broken in pieces; all they that work for hire shall be grieved in soul.
11.Ciertamente son necios los príncipes de Zoán; el consejo de los prudentes consejeros de Faraón se ha desvanecido. ¿Cómo diréis a Faraón: Yo soy hijo de los sabios, e hijo de los reyes antiguos?The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the counsel of the wisest counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
12.¿Dónde están ahora aquellos tus sabios? Que te digan ahora, o te hagan saber qué es lo que Jehová de los ejércitos ha determinado sobre Egipto.Where then are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now; and let them know what Jehovah of hosts hath purposed concerning Egypt.
13.Se han desvanecido los príncipes de Zoán, se han engañado los príncipes de Menfis; engañaron a Egipto los que son la piedra angular de sus familias.The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Memphis are deceived; they have caused Egypt to go astray, that are the corner-stone of her tribes.
14.Jehová mezcló espíritu de vértigo en medio de él; e hicieron errar a Egipto en toda su obra, como tambalea el ebrio en su vómito.Jehovah hath mingled a spirit of perverseness in the midst of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
15.Y no aprovechará a Egipto cosa que haga la cabeza o la cola, la rama o el junco.Neither shall there be for Egypt any work, which head or tail, palm-branch or rush, may do.
16.En aquel día los egipcios serán como mujeres; porque se asombrarán y temerán en la presencia de la mano alta de Jehová de los ejércitos, que él levantará contra ellos.In that day shall the Egyptians be like unto women; and they shall tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of hosts, which he shaketh over them.
17.Y la tierra de Judá será de espanto a Egipto; todo hombre que de ella se acordare temerá por causa del consejo que Jehová de los ejércitos acordó sobre aquél.And the land of Judah shall become a terror unto Egypt; every one to whom mention is made thereof shall be afraid, because of the purpose of Jehovah of hosts, which he purposeth against it.
18.En aquel tiempo habrá cinco ciudades en la tierra de Egipto que hablen la lengua de Canaán, y que juren por Jehová de los ejércitos; una será llamada la ciudad de Herez.In that day there shall be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Jehovah of hosts; one shall be called The city of destruction.
19.En aquel tiempo habrá altar para Jehová en medio de la tierra de Egipto, y monumento a Jehová junto a su frontera.In that day shall there be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to Jehovah.
20.Y será por señal y por testimonio a Jehová de los ejércitos en la tierra de Egipto; porque clamarán a Jehová a causa de sus opresores, y él les enviará salvador y príncipe que los libre.And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto Jehovah of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they shall cry unto Jehovah because of oppressors, and he will send them a saviour, and a defender, and he will deliver them.
21.Y Jehová será conocido de Egipto, y los de Egipto conocerán a Jehová en aquel día, y harán sacrificio y oblación; y harán votos a Jehová, y los cumplirán.And Jehovah shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know Jehovah in that day; yea, they shall worship with sacrifice and oblation, and shall vow a vow unto Jehovah, and shall perform it.
22.Y herirá Jehová a Egipto; herirá y sanará, y se convertirán a Jehová, y les será clemente y los sanará.And Jehovah will smite Egypt, smiting and healing; and they shall return unto Jehovah, and he will be entreated of them, and will heal them.
23.En aquel tiempo habrá una calzada de Egipto a Asiria, y asirios entrarán en Egipto, y egipcios en Asiria; y los egipcios servirán con los asirios a Jehová.In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians shall worship with the Assyrians.
24.En aquel tiempo Israel será tercero con Egipto y con Asiria para bendición en medio de la tierra;In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;
25.porque Jehová de los ejércitos los bendecirá diciendo: Bendito el pueblo mío Egipto, y el asirio obra de mis manos, e Israel mi heredad.for that Jehovah of hosts hath blessed them, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
