Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
.믿음의 주요 또 온전하게 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자 그는 그 앞에 있는 기쁨을 위하여 십자가를 참으사 부끄러움을 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님 보좌 우편에 앉으셨느니라looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that hath endured such gainsaying of sinners against himself, that ye wax not weary, fainting in your souls.
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin:
.또 아들들에게 권하는 것 같이 너희에게 권면하신 말씀도 잊었도다 일렀으되 내 아들아 주의 징계하심을 경히 여기지 말며 그에게 꾸지람을 받을 때에 낙심하지 말라and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
It is for chastening that ye endure; God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chasteneth not?
But if ye are without chastening, whereof all have been made partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.
All chastening seemeth for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yieldeth peaceable fruit unto them that have been exercised thereby, even the fruit of righteousness.
.그러므로 피곤한 손과 연약한 무릎을 일으켜 세우고Wherefore lift up the hands that hang down, and the palsied knees;
.너희 발을 위하여 곧은 길을 만들어 저는 다리로 하여금 어그러지지 않고 고침을 받게 하라and make straight paths for your feet, that that which is lame be not turned out of the way, but rather be healed.
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:
.너희는 하나님의 은혜에 이르지 못하는 자가 없도록 하고 또 쓴 뿌리가 나서 괴롭게 하여 많은 사람이 이로 말미암아 더럽게 되지 않게 하며looking carefully lest there be any man that falleth short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled;
.음행하는 자와 혹 한 그릇 음식을 위하여 장자의 명분을 판 에서와 같이 망령된 자가 없도록 살피라lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one mess of meat sold his own birthright.
For ye know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place for a change of mind in his father, though he sought it diligently with tears.
For ye are not come unto a mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
.나팔 소리와 말하는 소리가 있는 곳에 이른 것이 아니라 그 소리를 듣는 자들은 더 말씀하지 아니하시기를 구하였으니and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that no word more should be spoken unto them;
.이는 짐승이라도 그 산에 들어가면 돌로 침을 당하리라 하신 명령을 그들이 견디지 못함이라for they could not endure that which was enjoined, If even a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned;
.그 보이는 바가 이렇듯 무섭기로 모세도 이르되 내가 심히 두렵고 떨린다 하였느니라and so fearful was the appearance, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:
.그러나 너희가 이른 곳은 시온 산과 살아 계신 하나님의 도성인 하늘의 예루살렘과 천만 천사와but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,
.하늘에 기록된 장자들의 모임과 교회와 만민의 심판자이신 하나님과 및 온전하게 된 의인의 영들과to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
.새 언약의 중보자이신 예수와 및 아벨의 피보다 더 나은 것을 말하는 뿌린 피니라and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better than that of Abel.
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not when they refused him that warned them on earth, much more shall not we escape who turn away from him that warneth from heaven:
.그 때에는 그 소리가 땅을 진동하였거니와 이제는 약속하여 이르시되 내가 또 한 번 땅만 아니라 하늘도 진동하리라 하셨느니라whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more will I make to tremble not the earth only, but also the heaven.
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.
Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may offer service well-pleasing to God with reverence and awe:
.우리 하나님은 소멸하는 불이심이라for our God is a consuming fire.
