创世记第43章：带便雅悯返回埃及

- 1.那 地 的 饑 荒 甚 大 。And the famine was sore in the land.

- 4.你 若 打 發 我 們 的 兄 弟 與 我 們 同 去 ， 我 們 就 下 去 給 你 糴 糧 ；If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food:
- 5.你 若 不 打 發 他 去 ， 我 們 就 不 下 去 ， 因 為 那 人 對 我 們 說 ： 「 你 們 的 兄 弟 若 不 與 你 們 同 來 ， 你 們 就 不 得 見 我 的 面 。 」 』but if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down; for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

- 8.猶 大 又 對 他 父 親 以 色 列 說 ： 『 你 打 發 童 子 與 我 同 去 ， 我 們 就 起 身 下 去 ， 好 叫 我 們 和 你 ， 並 我 們 的 婦 人 孩 子 ， 都 得 存 活 ， 不 至 於 死 。And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones.
- 9.我 為 他 作 保 ； 你 可 以 從 我 手 中 追 討 ， 我 若 不 帶 他 回 來 交 在 你 面 前 ， 我 情 願 永 遠 擔 罪 。I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:
- 10.我 們 若 沒 有 耽 擱 ， 如 今 第 二 次 都 回 來 了 。 』for except we had lingered, surely we had now returned a second time.
- 11.他 們 的 父 親 以 色 列 說 ： 『 若 必 須 如 此 ， 你 們 就 當 這 樣 行 ： 可 以 將 這 地 土 產 中 最 好 的 乳 香 、 蜂 蜜 、 香 料 、 沒 藥 、 榧 子 、 杏 仁 都 取 一 點 ， 收 在 器 具 裡 ， 帶 下 去 送 給 那 人 作 禮 物 ，And their father Israel said unto them, If it be so now, do this: take of the choice fruits of the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spicery and myrrh, nuts, and almonds;
- 12.又 要 手 裡 加 倍 地 帶 銀 子 ， 並 將 歸 還 在 你 們 口 袋 內 的 銀 子 仍 帶 在 手 裡 ； 那 或 者 是 錯 了 。and take double money in your hand; and the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks carry again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:
- 13.也 帶 著 你 們 的 兄 弟 ， 起 身 去 見 那 人 。take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:
- 14.但 願 全 能 的 神 使 你 們 在 那 人 面 前 蒙 憐 憫 ， 釋 放 你 們 的 那 弟 兄 和 便 雅 憫 回 來 。 我 若 喪 了 兒 子 ， 就 喪 了 吧 ! 』and God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release unto you your other brother and Benjamin. And if I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

- 17.家 宰 就 遵 著 約 瑟 的 命 去 行 ， 領 他 們 進 約 瑟 的 屋 裡 。And the man did as Joseph bade; and the man brought the men to Joseph's house.
- 18.他 們 因 為 被 領 到 約 瑟 的 屋 裡 ， 就 害 怕 ， 說 ： 『 領 我 們 到 這 裡 來 ， 必 是 因 為 頭 次 歸 還 在 我 們 口 袋 裡 的 銀 子 ， 找 我 們 的 錯 縫 ， 下 手 害 我 們 ， 強 取 我 們 為 奴 僕 ， 搶 奪 我 們 的 驢 。 』And the men were afraid, because they were brought to Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.

- 20.說 ： 『 我 主 啊 ， 我 們 頭 次 下 來 實 在 是 要 糴 糧 。and said, Oh, my lord, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:
- 21.後 來 到 了 住 宿 的 地 方 ， 我 們 打 開 口 袋 ， 不 料 ， 各 人 的 銀 子 ， 分 量 足 數 ， 仍 在 各 人 的 口 袋 內 ， 現 在 我 們 手 裡 又 帶 回 來 了 。and it came to pass, when we came to the lodging-place, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.
- 22.另 外 又 帶 下 銀 子 來 糴 糧 。 不 知 道 先 前 誰 把 銀 子 放 在 我 們 的 口 袋 裡 。 』And other money have we brought down in our hand to buy food: we know not who put our money in our sacks.
- 23.家 宰 說 ： 『 你 們 可 以 放 心 ， 不 要 害 怕 ， 是 你 們 的 神 和 你 們 父 親 的 神 賜 給 你 們 財 寶 在 你 們 的 口 袋 裡 ； 你 們 的 銀 子 ， 我 早 已 收 了 。 』 他 就 把 西 緬 帶 出 來 ， 交 給 他 們 。And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.
