1.“‘万军之耶和华，以色列的神，痛苦的灵魂和疲惫的灵向你哀求。“‘O Lord Almighty, God of Israel, the soul in anguish and the wearied spirit cry out to thee.
2.求主垂听，怜悯我们，因为我们在你面前犯罪了。Hear, O Lord, and have mercy, for we have sinned before thee.
3.因为你永远坐在宝座上，我们却要永远灭亡。For thou art enthroned for ever, and we are perishing for ever.
4.全能的主， 以色列的神，请现在听以色列死人的祷告和那些在你面前犯罪的人的子孙的祷告，他们不听从他们的神主的声音，因此灾祸紧随着我们。O Lord Almighty, God of Israel, hear now the prayer of the dead of Israel and of the sons of those who sinned before thee, who did not heed the voice of the Lord their God, so that calamities have clung to us.
5.不要记念我们祖先的罪恶，在这紧急的时候，求你记念你的大能和你的名。Remember not the iniquities of our fathers, but in this crisis remember thy power and thy name.
6.因为你是我们的主我们的神，我们要赞美你，主。For thou art the Lord our God, and thee, O Lord, will we praise.
7.因为你将敬畏你放在我们心里，使我们在那里呼求你的名；我们也要在流亡中称赞你，因为我们已经从心中除去我们列祖在你面前所犯的所有不义。For thou hast put the fear of thee in our hearts in order that we should call upon thy name; and we will praise thee in our exile, for we have put away from our hearts all the iniquity of our fathers who sinned before thee.
8.看哪，我们今天流离在你散播我们的地方，受辱、受咒、受罚，这都是因为我们祖先的罪孽，他们离弃了我们的上帝耶和华。Behold, we are today in our exile where thou hast scattered us, to be reproached and cursed and punished for all the iniquities of our fathers who forsook the Lord our God.’”
9.赞美智慧 以色列啊，要听生命的诫命，侧耳而听，学习智慧！In Praise of Wisdom Hear the commandments of life, O Israel; give ear, and learn wisdom!
10.以色列啊，你为何在敌人的地上，你为何在异国他乡衰老，你为何被死人玷污，Why is it, O Israel, why is it that you are in the land of your enemies, that you are growing old in a foreign country, that you are defiled with the dead,
11.你被算作在阴间的人之一吗！that you are counted among those in Hades?
12.你们已经离弃了智慧的泉源。You have forsaken the fountain of wisdom.
13.如果你行在神的道上，你就可以永远居住在平安中。If you had walked in the way of God, you would be dwelling in peace for ever.
14.要知道哪里有智慧，哪里有力量，哪里有聪明，好使你同时知道哪里有长寿，哪里有生命，哪里有眼中的光明和平安。Learn where there is wisdom, where there is strength, where there is understanding, that you may at the same time discern where there is length of days, and life, where there is light for the eyes, and peace.
15.谁找到她呢？谁进入了她的仓库呢？Who has found her place? And who has entered her storehouses?
16.列国的王子在哪里，那些管辖地上兽的在哪里；Where are the princes of the nations, and those who rule over the beasts on earth;
17.那些与空中的鸟为伴的人和那些积累白银、黄金、人们所信靠的东西的人，他们的获取没有尽头；those who have sport with the birds of the air, and who hoard up silver and gold, in which men trust, and there is no end to their getting;
18.那些设谋求银子、焦急的人，他们的劳碌是无穷的those who scheme to get silver, and are anxious, whose labors are beyond measure?
19.他们已经消失并降入阴间，而其他人已经在他们的位置崛起。They have vanished and gone down to Hades, and others have arisen in their place.
20.年轻人虽然见过阳光，生活在世上，却没有学习知识的途径，也不了解她的道路，更没有掌握她。Young men have seen the light of day, and have dwelt upon the earth; but they have not learned the way to knowledge, nor understood her paths, nor laid hold of her.
21.他们的儿子已经远离了她的道路。Their sons have strayed far from her way.
22.她在迦南没有被提及，也没有在提曼被看见；She has not been heard of in Canaan, nor seen in Teman;
23.哈格的儿子们，他们在世上寻求聪明，玛兰和提曼的商人，传说者和寻求聪明的人，没有学习智慧的道路，也没有考虑她的道路。the sons of Hagar, who seek for understanding on the earth, the merchants of Merran and Teman, the story-tellers and the seekers for understanding, have not learned the way to wisdom, nor given thought to her paths.
24.以色列啊，神的家何其伟大，祂所拥有的领地何其广阔！O Israel, how great is the house of God! And how vast the territory that he possesses!
25.它是伟大的，没有界限；它是高的，无法衡量。It is great and has no bounds; it is high and immeasurable.
26.那里生出了巨人，他们是古来有名的，身材高大，善于打仗。The giants were born there, who were famous of old, great in stature, expert in war.
27.上帝没有选择他们，也没有给他们认识的道路；God did not choose them, nor give them the way to knowledge;
28.他们因此灭亡，因为他们没有智慧，他们因自己的愚昧而灭亡。so they perished because they had no wisdom, they perished through their folly.
29.谁升到天上，取了她，又从云中带她下来？Who has gone up into heaven, and taken her, and brought her down from the clouds?
30.谁曾过海，寻找她，并用纯金买下她？Who has gone over the sea, and found her, and will buy her for pure gold?
31.没有人知道她的路，也没有人关心通往她的道路。No one knows the way to her, or is concerned about the path to her.
32.但那知道万事的主晓得她，他用智慧找到了她。那为永远预备地土、充满四足的兽的，But he who knows all things knows her, he found her by his understanding. He who prepared the earth for all time filled it with four-footed creatures;
33.他发出光明，光明就行；他召唤，光明就以颤抖着顺服他；he who sends forth the light, and it goes, called it, and it obeyed him in fear;
34.星辰在其守望中闪耀，且欢喜。他呼召他们，他们说“我们在这里！”他们为造他们的主发光，充满欢乐。the stars shone in their watches, and were glad; he called them, and they said, “Here we are!” They shone with gladness for him who made them.
35.这是我们的神， 没有哪一个可以与他相比！This is our God; no other can be compared to him!
36.他寻得了全部的知识之道，又将她赐给了他的仆人雅各和他所爱的以色列。He found the whole way to knowledge, and gave her to Jacob his servant and to Israel whom he loved.
37.其后她出现在地上，并且与人同住。Afterward she appeared upon earth and lived among men.
