1.她是神诫命的书,也是永恒的律法。所有紧握她的都将生存,所有离弃她的都将死亡。She is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endures for ever. All who hold her fast will live, and those who forsake her will die.
2.雅各啊,转向她,向她光明的照耀而行。Turn, O Jacob, and take her; walk toward the shining of her light.
3.不要将你的荣耀归给别人,也不要将你的优势给外邦人。Do not give your glory to another, or your advantages to an alien people.
4.我们以色列人有福了,因为我们知道什么是上帝所喜悦的。Happy are we, O Israel, for we know what is pleasing to God.
5.鼓励以色列的人民啊,你们以色列的余民要放心!Encouragement for Israel Take courage, my people, O memorial of Israel!
6.你被卖给列国,不是为了毁灭你,而是因为你激怒了上帝,才被交给了敌人。It was not for destruction that you were sold to the nations, but you were handed over to your enemies because you angered God.
7.你们惹怒了造你们的主,因为你们献祭给鬼神,不献给神。For you provoked him who made you, by sacrificing to demons and not to God.
8.你们忘记了永在的神,就是从小养育你们的神,你们也使抚养你们的耶路撒冷感到悲伤。You forgot the everlasting God, who brought you up, and you grieved Jerusalem, who reared you.
9.因为她看见了从神而来的临到你们的愤怒,她说:锡安的邻居们,请听,神使我大大受苦;For she saw the wrath that came upon you from God, and she said: “Hearken, you neighbors of Zion, God has brought great sorrow upon me;
10.因为我已经看见了永在神使我儿女遭受的灾祸。for I have seen the captivity of my sons and daughters, which the Everlasting brought upon them.
11.我欢欢喜喜地养育他们,却流泪哭泣地赶他们走。With joy I nurtured them, but I sent them away with weeping and sorrow.
12.不要有人因我欢喜,我是一位丧偶的妇人,也是多子之母,现在却孤独一人,这都是因为我的儿女们违背了上帝的律法,以至于他们离弃了上帝的法度。Let no one rejoice over me, a widow and bereaved of many; I was left desolate because of the sins of my children, because they turned away from the law of God.
13.他们不尊重他的律法,不遵行神命令的道路,也不走他公义的正道。They had no regard for his statutes; they did not walk in the ways of God’s commandments, nor tread the paths of discipline in his righteousness.
14.叫锡安的邻近各国来,记念永在的神怎样使我的儿女被掳。Let the neighbors of Zion come; remember the capture of my sons and daughters, which the Everlasting brought upon them.
15.因为他使一个从远方来的国来攻击他们,这是一个无耻的国,使用一种陌生的语言,他们不尊敬老人,也不怜悯孩子。For he brought against them a nation from afar, a shameless nation, of a strange language, who had no respect for an old man, and had no pity for a child.
16.他们带走了寡妇心爱的儿子们,又使孤独的妇人失去了她的女儿们。They led away the widow’s beloved sons, and bereaved the lonely woman of her daughters.
17.但我,我如何能帮助你?“But I, how can I help you?
18.因为使你遭遇这些灾难的,必将救你脱离你的敌人手中。For he who brought these calamities upon you will deliver you from the hand of your enemies.
19.去吧,我的孩子们,去吧;因为我已被撇下,变得荒凉。Go, my children, go; for I have been left desolate.
20.我已经脱去平安的长衣,穿上祈求的麻衣,我将在我一生所有的日子里向永在的神哭求。I have taken off the robe of peace and put on the sackcloth of my supplication; I will cry to the Everlasting all my days.
21.“你们要壮胆,我的孩子们,向上帝呼求,他必救你们脱离敌人之手和权势。“Take courage, my children, cry to God, and he will deliver you from the power and hand of the enemy.
22.因为我已将我的希望放在永在的神那里,祂要拯救你,我从圣者中得到了喜乐,因为你永在的救主很快要施行的慈悲就要临到你。For I have put my hope in the Everlasting to save you, and joy has come to me from the Holy One, because of the mercy which soon will come to you from your everlasting Savior.
23.因为我是带着哀痛和哭泣将你们送出的,但神要用永远的喜乐和欢喜将你们归还给我。For I sent you out with sorrow and weeping, but God will give you back to me with joy and gladness for ever.
24.因为锡安的邻居已经看见你被擒拿,如今他们很快就会看见神使你得救,这救恩将以极大的荣耀和永在者的辉煌临到你。For as the neighbors of Zion have now seen your capture, so they soon will see your salvation by God, which will come to you with great glory and with the splendor of the Everlasting.
25.我的孩子们,要用忍耐的心承受从神而来的愤怒。你们的敌人已经攻占了你们,但你们很快就会看到他们的毁灭,并且要践踏他们的颈项。My children, endure with patience the wrath that has come upon you from God. Your enemy has overtaken you, but you will soon see their destruction and will tread upon their necks.
26.我的温柔的儿子们已经走过了艰难的道路,他们像一群被敌人掠夺的羊群一样被带走了。My tender sons have traveled rough roads; they were taken away like a flock carried off by the enemy.
27.“你们要壮胆,我的孩子们,向神祈求,因为你们会被那使你们遭遇这一切的人记住。“Take courage, my children, and cry to God, for you will be remembered by him who brought this upon you.
28.因为你们曾经故意偏离神,现在要以十倍的热情回到寻求他。For just as you purposed to go astray from God, return with tenfold zeal to seek him.
29.因为使你遭遇这些灾难的,必将救你脱离你的敌人手中。For he who brought these calamities upon you will bring you everlasting joy with your salvation.”
30.耶路撒冷必得帮助 耶路撒冷啊,你要坚强,因为命名你的那一位必安慰你。Jerusalem Is Assured of Help Take courage, O Jerusalem, for he who named you will comfort you.
31.那些使你受苦并因你的衰落而欢喜的人有祸了Wretched will be those who afflicted you and rejoiced at your fall.
32.你们的孩子所侍奉的城邑将会有灾祸,接纳你们的儿子城市将会有灾祸Wretched will be the cities which your children served as slaves; wretched will be the city which received your sons.
33.因为她曾因你的衰落而欢喜,因你的毁灭而高兴,所以她必因自己的荒凉而悲伤。For just as she rejoiced at your fall and was glad for your ruin, so she will be grieved at her own desolation.
34.我要除掉她因众多人口而有的骄傲,她的淫荡必归为愁苦。And I will take away her pride in her great population, and her insolence will be turned to grief.
35.因为永生神的烈火要降临在她身上,持续许多日子,她将长久被邪灵所占据。For fire will come upon her from the Everlasting for many days, and for a long time she will be inhabited by demons.
36.向东看吧,耶路撒冷,看哪,神要给你带来的喜乐!Look toward the east, O Jerusalem, and see the joy that is coming to you from God!
37.看哪,你的众子都聚集而来,就是你所打发的,他们从东从西、因圣者的言语而来,在神的荣耀中欢喜。Behold, your sons are coming, whom you sent away; they are coming, gathered from east and west, at the word of the Holy One, rejoicing in the glory of God.
