7.当犹大看见他的军队已经溃散，战斗即将开始时，他精神上受到打击，因为他没有时间召集他们。When Judas saw that his army had slipped away and the battle was imminent, he was crushed in spirit, for he had no time to assemble them.

11.犹大最后的战役 巴基德的军队从营地出发，摆开阵势准备交战。骑兵分为两个队，投石手和弓箭手走在军队前面，所有主要的勇士也一样。The Last Battle of Judas Then the army of Bac′chides marched out from the camp and took its stand for the encounter. The cavalry was divided into two companies, and the slingers and the archers went ahead of the army, as did all the chief warriors.
12.巴克基得斯在右翼，两队人马夹在中间，方阵在号角声中前进，犹大的军队也吹响了号角。Bac′chides was on the right wing. Flanked by the two companies, the phalanx advanced to the sound of the trumpets; and the men with Judas also blew their trumpets.
13.大地因军队的喧嚣而震动，战斗从早晨到晚上都在激烈进行。The earth was shaken by the noise of the armies, and the battle raged from morning till evening.
14.犹大看见巴克基得和他的军队的力量在右边，就有所有胆壮的战士跟随他，Judas saw that Bac′chides and the strength of his army were on the right; then all the stouthearted men went with him,
15.他们击败了右翼，并一直追赶他们到亚琐土斯山。and they crushed the right wing, and he pursued them as far as Mount Azo′tus.
16.当左翼的人看到右翼被击溃时，他们转身紧随犹大和他的军队之后。When those on the left wing saw that the right wing was crushed, they turned and followed close behind Judas and his men.
17.战斗变得十分激烈，双方都有许多人受伤倒下。The battle became desperate, and many on both sides were wounded and fell.

23.约拿单继承犹大 之后，法利士人兴起于以色列的各处，所有作恶的人都出现了。Jonathan Succeeds Judas After the death of Judas, the lawless emerged in all parts of Israel; all the doers of injustice appeared.
24.在那些日子里，发生了一场非常大的饥荒，国家也随着他们投靠敌人。In those days a very great famine occurred, and the country deserted with them to the enemy.
25.巴克基得挑选了不敬虔的人，将他们安置在国中掌权。And Bac′chides chose the ungodly and put them in charge of the country.
26.他们寻找和搜索犹大的朋友，将他们带到巴基得面前，巴基得向他们报复，并戏弄他们。They sought and searched for the friends of Judas, and brought them to Bac′chides, and he took vengeance on them and made sport of them.
27.以色列中就大有困苦，像从前先知在他们中间没有的时候一样。Thus there was great distress in Israel, such as had not been since the time that prophets ceased to appear among them.
28.于是犹大所有的朋友都聚集过来，对约拿单说，Then all the friends of Judas assembled and said to Jonathan,
29.“自从你们的哥哥犹大死后，没有人像他那样起来反对我们的敌人和巴基得，并且处理我们民族中恨我们的那些人。“Since the death of your brother Judas there has been no one like him to go against our enemies and Bac′chides, and to deal with those of our nation who hate us.
30.现在我们选择你今天来替代他，作为我们的统治者和领袖，为我们争战。So now we have chosen you today to take his place as our ruler and leader, to fight our battle.”
31.当时约拿单接过领导权，代替他哥哥犹大。And Jonathan at that time accepted the leadership and took the place of Judas his brother.
32.约拿单的战役 巴基得得知这件事后，想要杀死他。The Campaigns of Jonathan When Bac′chides learned of this, he tried to kill him.
33.但约拿单和他的兄弟西蒙，以及与他们同在的人听说了，就逃到提哥亚的旷野，驻扎在阿斯法池旁的水边。But Jonathan and Simon his brother and all who were with him heard of it, and they fled into the wilderness of Teko′a and camped by the water of the pool of Asphar.
34.巴克基得在安息日得知这件事，他和他的全军渡过了约旦河。Bac′chides found this out on the sabbath day, and he with all his army crossed the Jordan.
35.约拿单派他的兄弟作为众人的首领，并求他的朋友纳巴泰人允许他们将大量的行李存放在那里。And Jonathan sent his brother as leader of the multitude and begged the Nabate′ans, who were his friends, for permission to store with them the great amount of baggage which they had.
36.但米德巴的雅姆利的儿子出来，夺取了约翰和他所有的东西，就带着走了。But the sons of Jambri from Me′deba came out and seized John and all that he had, and departed with it.
37.在这些事之后，有人报告给约拿单和他的兄弟西蒙，说：“雅姆利的儿子正在举行一个盛大的婚礼，并且他们正从拿大拔带着一大群护卫迎接一位迦南大贵族的女儿作为新娘。”After these things it was reported to Jonathan and Simon his brother, “The sons of Jambri are celebrating a great wedding, and are conducting the bride, a daughter of one of the great nobles of Canaan, from Nad′abath with a large escort.”
38.他们记得他们兄弟约翰的血，就上去并藏在山后。And they remembered the blood of John their brother, and went up and hid under cover of the mountain.
39.他们抬起眼睛观看，见有一队喧闹的队伍，带着许多的行李；新郎带着他的朋友和他的兄弟们，出来迎接他们，打着手鼓，有乐师，并带着许多的武器。They raised their eyes and looked, and saw a tumultuous procession with much baggage; and the bridegroom came out with his friends and his brothers to meet them with tambourines and musicians and many weapons.
40.他们从埋伏的地方突然冲出，开始杀死那些人。很多人受伤倒地，剩下的逃往山里，他们夺取了所有的财物。Then they rushed upon them from the ambush and began killing them. Many were wounded and fell, and the rest fled to the mountain; and they took all their goods.
41.于是，婚宴变成了丧礼，音乐家的声音变成了哀歌。Thus the wedding was turned into mourning and the voice of their musicians into a funeral dirge.
42.他们报了兄弟的血仇之后，就回到约但河的沼泽地。And when they had fully avenged the blood of their brother, they returned to the marshes of the Jordan.
43.巴克基得听说这件事，就带着大量军队在安息日来到约旦河边。When Bac′chides heard of this, he came with a large force on the sabbath day to the banks of the Jordan.
44.约拿单对与他在一起的人说，现在我们起来为自己的生命而战，因为今天和以前不同了。And Jonathan said to those with him, “Let us rise up now and fight for our lives, for today things are not as they were before.
45.看哪，战事在我们面前和背后，约旦河的水在此岸和彼岸，有芦苇和荆棘，无处可逃。For look! the battle is in front of us and behind us; the water of the Jordan is on this side and on that, with marsh and thicket; there is no place to turn.
46.现在向天呼求，好从我们的敌人手中得救。Cry out now to Heaven that you may be delivered from the hands of our enemies.”
47.于是，战斗开始了，约拿单伸手要击打巴基德，但巴基德躲避他，退到后面。So the battle began, and Jonathan stretched out his hand to strike Bac′chides, but he eluded him and went to the rear.
48.约拿单和跟随他的人跳入约旦河，游到河的那一边，敌人也没有渡过约旦河来攻击他们。Then Jonathan and the men with him leaped into the Jordan and swam across to the other side, and the enemy did not cross the Jordan to attack them.
49.当天，巴克基得的军队中约有一千人倒下。And about one thousand of Bac′chides’ men fell that day.
50.巴克基得修筑防御工事 巴克基得随后回到耶路撒冷，在犹大建造了坚固的城市：耶利哥的要塞、伯玛努、伯霍伦、伯特利、提拿、法拉顿、提弗翁，修筑了高墙、城门和门闩。Bacchides Builds Fortifications Bac′chides then returned to Jerusalem and built strong cities in Judea: the fortress in Jericho, and Emma′us, and Beth-hor′on, and Bethel, and Timnath, and Phar′athon, and Tephon, with high walls and gates and bars.
51.他在各城里安置了驻军来扰乱以色列。And he placed garrisons in them to harass Israel.
52.他也加固了伯撒尔城和加沙城，以及城堡，并在那里驻扎军队，储存粮食。He also fortified the city of Beth-zur, and Gazar′a, and the citadel, and in them he put troops and stores of food.
53.他将这地的首领之子作为人质，监禁在耶路撒冷的卫城里。And he took the sons of the leading men of the land as hostages and put them under guard in the citadel at Jerusalem.
54.一百五十三年二月，亚勒克摩下令拆毁圣所内院的墙，他拆毁了先知所建造的工作In the one hundred and fifty-third year, in the second month, Al′cimus gave orders to tear down the wall of the inner court of the sanctuary. He tore down the work of the prophets!
55.但他刚刚开始拆毁的时候，亚勒麦就患病了，他的工作也因此受阻，他的嘴被堵住了，他也瘫痪了，以至于他不能再说一句话，也不能再为他的家发命令。But he only began to tear it down, for at that time Al′cimus was stricken and his work was hindered; his mouth was stopped and he was paralyzed, so that he could no longer say a word or give commands concerning his house.
56.当时亚勒麦死了，死得很痛苦。And Al′cimus died at that time in great agony.
57.巴克基得见亚力山大已经死了，就回去见王，犹大地便有两年的安宁。When Bac′chides saw that Al′cimus was dead, he returned to the king, and the land of Judah had rest for two years.
58.战争的结束 那时所有不法之人都谋划说，看哪，乔纳森和他的军队生活在安静和信任之中。现在让我们把巴克基得带回来，他将在一个夜晚捕获他们所有人。The End of the War Then all the lawless plotted and said, “See! Jonathan and his men are living in quiet and confidence. So now let us bring Bac′chides back, and he will capture them all in one night.”

61.约拿单的兵就抓住那地的约五十个为这叛逆作头的，杀了他们。And Jonathan’s men seized about fifty of the men of the country who were leaders in this treachery, and killed them.
62.然后，约拿单和他的军兵，以及西蒙，撤退到旷野中的伯哈赛；他重建了那里的被毁坏的部分，并加强了防御。Then Jonathan with his men, and Simon, withdrew to Beth-ba′si in the wilderness; he rebuilt the parts of it that had been demolished, and they fortified it.
63.巴克基得听说这件事，就聚集了他的全部军队，向犹大众人发出命令。When Bac′chides learned of this, he assembled all his forces, and sent orders to the men of Judea.
64.他来到伯巴西，安营攻打，多日攻打这座城，并制造攻城器械。Then he came and encamped against Beth-ba′si; he fought against it for many days and made machines of war.
65.但约拿单将他的兄弟西蒙留在城里，他自己却带着极少数人出国。But Jonathan left Simon his brother in the city, while he went out into the country; and he went with only a few men.
66.他击杀了俄多米尔和他的兄弟以及法西龙的儿子们，他们都在自己的帐篷里。He struck down Odome′ra and his brothers and the sons of Phasi′ron in their tents.
67.于是他开始攻击，率领军队进入战场；西蒙和他的士兵从城里冲出来，放火烧毁了攻城器械。Then he began to attack and went into battle with his forces; and Simon and his men sallied out from the city and set fire to the machines of war.
68.他们与巴克基得交战，巴克基得在他们面前受了惨败。他极其沮丧，因为他的计划和远征都失败了。They fought with Bac′chides, and he was crushed by them. They distressed him greatly, for his plan and his expedition had been in vain.
69.他极其愤怒于那些劝说他进入该国的不法之人，并杀死了其中很多人。然后他决定返回自己的土地。So he was greatly enraged at the lawless men who had counseled him to come into the country, and he killed many of them. Then he decided to depart to his own land.
70.约拿单知道这件事以后，就派遣使者去见他，向他求和，并为被掳的人求情。When Jonathan learned of this, he sent ambassadors to him to make peace with him and obtain release of the captives.
71.他同意了，并且按照约定行事，他还向约拿单发誓，只要他活着，就永远不会试图伤害他。He agreed, and did as he said; and he swore to Jonathan that he would not try to harm him as long as he lived.
72.他将以前从犹大地掠取的俘虏归还给犹大王，然后转身回到自己的国，不再进入他们的境界。He restored to him the captives whom he had formerly taken from the land of Judah; then he turned and departed to his own land, and came no more into their territory.
73.于是以色列境内的刀剑停止了，约拿单住在米斯巴，约拿单开始审判百姓，并从以色列中除掉不虔诚的人。Thus the sword ceased from Israel. And Jonathan dwelt in Michmash. And Jonathan began to judge the people, and he destroyed the ungodly out of Israel.
