1.为什么国家聚集，
人民谋划虚妄的事；Why do nations assemble,and peoples plot vain things;
2.大地的君王都站立起来，臣宰也一同谋议，抗拒上帝的受膏者kings of the earth take their stand,and regents intrigue togetheragainst the one anointed by GOD?
3.“让我们挣断他们的轭，从我们身上抖掉他们的绳索！”“Let us break the cords of their yoke,shake off their ropes from us!”
4.坐在天上的主笑了，我的主藐视他们。The One who is enthroned in heaven laughs;my Sovereign mocks at them.
5.然后他在怒中对他们说话， 用神圣的愤怒使他们惊恐，Then [God] speaks to them in anger,terrifying them with divine rage,
6.“但我已经将我的王设立在锡安我的圣山上！”“But I have installed My kingon Zion, My holy mountain!”
7.让我述说这圣旨：
上帝对我说，
“你是我的儿子，
今天我生你。”
就是上帝同意为王提供父亲在古近东通常为儿子提供的东西：持续的保护和帮助，以换取问责。参看撒母耳下7:14和诗篇89:27以下。Let me tell of the decree: GOD said to me,“You are My son,I have fathered you this day.
8.求我，我就将使万国为你的产业，你的所有地，直到地极。Ask it of Me,and I will make the nations your domain;your estate, the limits of the earth.
9.你可以用铁锤击碎他们，
打碎他们像陶匠的器皿。You can smash them with an iron mace,shatter them like potter’s ware.”
10.如今，哦，列王要明智；地上的君王要接受训诫！So now, O kings, be prudent;accept discipline, you rulers of the earth!
11.以敬畏侍奉上帝；
战战兢兢地侍奉他，Serve GOD in awe;tremble with fright,
12.以诚实的心来敬拜，免得他发怒，你们的道路被毁灭，在他发怒的瞬间。惟有投靠他的，才是有福的。pay homage in good faith, lest [God] be angered, and your way be doomedin the mere flash of divine anger.Happy are all who take refuge in [God].
