1.여호와께서 모세에게 이르시기를 내가 이제 한 가지 재앙을 바로와 애굽에 내린 후에야 그가 너희를 여기서 내보내리라 그가 너희를 내보낼 때에는 여기서 반드시 다 쫓아내리니And Jehovah said unto Moses, Yet one plague more will I bring upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
2.백성에게 말하여 사람들에게 각기 이웃들에게 은금 패물을 구하게 하라 하시더니Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
3.여호와께서 그 백성으로 애굽 사람의 은혜를 받게 하셨고 또 그 사람 모세는 애굽 땅에 있는 바로의 신하와 백성의 눈에 아주 위대하게 보였더라And Jehovah gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
4.모세가 바로에게 이르되 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 밤중에 내가 애굽 가운데로 들어가리니And Moses said, Thus saith Jehovah, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
5.애굽 땅에 있는 모든 처음 난 것은 왕위에 앉아 있는 바로의 장자로부터 맷돌 뒤에 있는 몸종의 장자와 모든 가축의 처음 난 것까지 죽으리니and all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the first-born of the maid-servant that is behind the mill; and all the first-born of cattle.
6.애굽 온 땅에 전무후무한 큰 부르짖음이 있으리라And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there hath not been, nor shall be any more.
7.그러나 이스라엘 자손에게는 사람에게나 짐승에게나 개 한 마리도 그 혀를 움직이지 아니하리니 여호와께서 애굽 사람과 이스라엘 사이를 구별하는 줄을 너희가 알리라 하셨나니But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that Jehovah doth make a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.
8.왕의 이 모든 신하가 내게 내려와 내게 절하며 이르기를 너와 너를 따르는 온 백성은 나가라 한 후에야 내가 나가리라 하고 심히 노하여 바로에게서 나오니라And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.
9.여호와께서 모세에게 이르시기를 바로가 너희의 말을 듣지 아니하리라 그러므로 내가 애굽 땅에서 나의 기적을 더하리라 하셨고And Jehovah said unto Moses, Pharaoh will not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
10.모세와 아론이 이 모든 기적을 바로 앞에서 행하였으나 여호와께서 바로의 마음을 완악하게 하셨으므로 그가 이스라엘 자손을 그 나라에서 보내지 아니하였더라And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and Jehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
