1.일곱째 인을 떼실 때에 하늘이 반 시간쯤 고요하더니And when he opened the seventh seal, there followed a silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2.내가 보매 하나님 앞에 일곱 천사가 서 있어 일곱 나팔을 받았더라And I saw the seven angels that stand before God; and there were given unto them seven trumpets.
3.또 다른 천사가 와서 제단 곁에 서서 금 향로를 가지고 많은 향을 받았으니 이는 모든 성도의 기도와 합하여 보좌 앞 금 제단에 드리고자 함이라And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should add it unto the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4.향연이 성도의 기도와 함께 천사의 손으로부터 하나님 앞으로 올라가는지라And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel's hand.
5.천사가 향로를 가지고 제단의 불을 담아다가 땅에 쏟으매 우레와 음성과 번개와 지진이 나더라And the angel taketh the censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it upon the earth: and there followed thunders, and voices, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6.일곱 나팔을 가진 일곱 천사가 나팔 불기를 준비하더라And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7.첫째 천사가 나팔을 부니 피 섞인 우박과 불이 나와서 땅에 쏟아지매 땅의 삼분의 일이 타 버리고 수목의 삼분의 일도 타 버리고 각종 푸른 풀도 타 버렸더라And the first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8.둘째 천사가 나팔을 부니 불 붙는 큰 산과 같은 것이 바다에 던져지매 바다의 삼분의 일이 피가 되고And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9.바다 가운데 생명 가진 피조물들의 삼분의 일이 죽고 배들의 삼분의 일이 깨지더라and there died the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, even they that had life; and the third part of the ships was destroyed.
10.셋째 천사가 나팔을 부니 횃불 같이 타는 큰 별이 하늘에서 떨어져 강들의 삼분의 일과 여러 물샘에 떨어지니And the third angel sounded, and there fell from heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of the waters;
11.이 별 이름은 쓴 쑥이라 물의 삼분의 일이 쓴 쑥이 되매 그 물이 쓴 물이 되므로 많은 사람이 죽더라and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12.넷째 천사가 나팔을 부니 해 삼분의 일과 달 삼분의 일과 별들의 삼분의 일이 타격을 받아 그 삼분의 일이 어두워지니 낮 삼분의 일은 비추임이 없고 밤도 그러하더라And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; that the third part of them should be darkened, and the day should not shine for the third part of it, and the night in like manner.
13.내가 또 보고 들으니 공중에 날아가는 독수리가 큰 소리로 이르되 땅에 사는 자들에게 화, 화, 화가 있으리니 이는 세 천사들이 불어야 할 나팔 소리가 남아 있음이로다 하더라And I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a great voice, Woe, woe, woe, for them that dwell on the earth, by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound.
