8. 8.亚伯兰对罗得说：“你我之间、我的牧人和你的牧人之间不要发生争执，因为我们是亲属。Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no strife between you and me, between my herders and yours, for we are, after all, kin. 💡
9. 9.不是全地都在你面前吗，我们可以分开：如果你向北走，我就向南走；如果你向南走，我就向北走。Is not the whole land before you? Let us separate: if you go north, I will go south; and if you go south, I will go north.”💡
10. 10.罗得向四周观望，见约旦河全平原，尽都有水，这是在耶和华毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉以前，是耶和华园子和埃及地一样，直到梭尔。Lot looked about him and saw how well watered was the whole plain of the Jordan, all of it—this was before GOD had destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah—all the way to Zoar, like the garden of GOD, like the land of Egypt.💡
11. 11.于是罗得选了约旦河的全平原，向东迁移，他们就彼此分开了；So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan, and Lot journeyed eastward. Thus they parted from each other; 💡
12. 12.亚伯兰仍住在迦南地，罗得却住在平原的城邑中，直到所多玛，支搭帐棚。Abram remained in the land of Canaan, while Lot settled in the cities of the Plain, pitching his tents near Sodom. 💡
13. 13.当时所多玛的居民是极其恶劣的罪人，违背上帝。Now the inhabitants of Sodom were very wicked sinners against GOD.💡
14. 14.上帝对亚伯兰说，罗得与他分开以后，「你举目向四面观看，从你所处的地方，向北向南，向东向西，」And GOD said to Abram, after Lot had parted from him, “Raise your eyes and look out from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west,💡
15. 15.因为我要把你所看见的所有土地永远赐给你和你的后代。for I give all the land that you see to you and your offspring forever.💡
16. 16.我要使你的后裔如同地上的尘土那样多，人若能数计地上的尘土，才可以数计你的后裔。I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring too can be counted. 💡
17. 17.起来，走遍这地，从北到南，从东到西，因为我要把这地赐给你。Up, walk about the land, through its length and its breadth, for I give it to you.” 💡
18. 18.亚伯兰挪移他的帐幕，来到希伯仑的玛勒的橡树那里居住，就在那里为上帝筑了一座坛。And Abram moved his tent, and came to dwell at the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Hebron; and he built an altar there to GOD.💡
