  1. 1.上帝记念诺亚和与他一起在方舟里的一切兽和牲畜,于是上帝使一阵风吹过大地,洪水便渐渐退去。God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark, and God caused a wind to blow across the earth, and the waters subsided.
  2. 2.大地的泉源和天上的窗户都关闭了,天上的雨也止住了;The fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were stopped up, and the rain from the sky was held back;
  3. 3.洪水逐渐从地上退去,一百五十天后,水势渐渐消退,the waters then receded steadily from the earth. At the end of one hundred and fifty days the waters diminished,
  4. 4.于是到七月十七日,方舟停在亚拉腊山上。so that in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.
  5. 5.水逐渐减少,直到第十个月,到了第十个月初一,山顶就露出来了。The waters went on diminishing until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.
  6. 6.四十天完了,诺亚开了他所造的方舟的窗户At the end of forty days, Noah opened the window of the ark that he had made
  7. 7.就放出乌鸦,它去来去来,直到地上的水消退。and sent out the raven; it went to and fro until the waters had dried up from the earth.
  8. 8.他就放出鸽子去,看地上水是否退了。Then he sent out the dove to see whether the waters had decreased from the surface of the ground.
  9. 9.但鸽子找不到落脚的地方,就回到他在方舟里,因为全地上都还是水。于是他伸出手,把鸽子接到方舟里与他同处。But the dove could not find a resting place for its foot, and returned to him to the ark, for there was water over all the earth. So putting out his hand, he took it into the ark with him.
  10. 10.他又等了七天,于是又放出鸽子从方舟里。He waited another seven days, and again sent out the dove from the ark.
  11. 11.鸽子在傍晚的时候回到他那里,嘴里叼着一根从树上折下来的橄榄叶。诺亚就知道地上的水已经退了。The dove came back to him toward evening, and there in its bill was a plucked-off olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the waters had decreased on the earth.
  12. 12.他又等了七天,然後把鴿子放出去,鴿子就不再回到他那裡了。He waited still another seven days and sent the dove forth; and it did not return to him anymore.
  13. 13.六百零一年,第一月,月初一日,地上的水开始干涸,诺亚打开方舟的盖子,看见地面上的水已经干了。In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the waters began to dry from the earth; and when Noah removed the covering of the ark, he saw that the surface of the ground was drying.
  14. 14.二月二十七日,地面干了。And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
  15. 15.上帝对诺亚说话,说,God spoke to Noah, saying,
  16. 16.“你们和你的妻子、你的儿子、你儿妇,一同出离这方舟。“Come out of the ark, together with your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives.
  17. 17.带出你所有的家养牲畜和你那里的地上所有的生物,包括鸟类、牲畜和地上爬行的生物,让它们在地上多起来,在地上生育繁多。Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds, animals, and everything that creeps on earth; and let them swarm on the earth and be fertile and increase on earth.”
  18. 18.诺亚就出来了,他的儿子和他的妻子,以及他儿子的妻子也都一同出来了。So Noah came out, together with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives.
  19. 19.每一种动物,每一种爬虫和每一种鸟,凡是在地上活动的,都从方舟里出来,都是按着种类出来的。Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that stirs on earth came out of the ark by families.
  20. 20.然后诺亚为上帝筑了一座坛,他从所有洁净的动物和所有洁净的鸟中取出一些,献上燔祭在坛上。Then Noah built an altar to GOD and, taking of every pure animal and of every pure bird, he offered burnt offerings on the altar.
  21. 21.上帝闻到香气后,心里想:“我绝不再因人类而毁灭地面,也不再因人类的思虑从幼年时就恶毒而杀死一切的活物。GOD smelled the pleasing odor, and GOD resolved: “Never again will I doom the earth because of humankind, since the devisings of the human mind are evil from youth; nor will I ever again destroy every living being, as I have done.
  22. 22.只要地长存,种植和收获,寒冷和炎热,夏天和冬天,白天和黑夜就不会止息。So long as the earth endures,Seedtime and harvest,Cold and heat,Summer and winter,Day and nightShall not cease.”
