1.Y llamó Jacob a sus hijos, y dijo: Juntaos, y os declararé lo que os ha de acontecer en los días venideros.And Jacob called unto his sons, and said: Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the latter days.
2.Juntaos y oíd, hijos de Jacob, Y escuchad a vuestro padre Israel.Assemble yourselves, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; And hearken unto Israel your father.
3.Rubén, tú eres mi primogénito, mi fortaleza, y el principio de mi vigor; Principal en dignidad, principal en poder.Reuben, thou art my first-born, my might, and the beginning of my strength; The pre-eminence of dignity, and the pre-eminence of power.
4.Impetuoso como las aguas, no serás el principal, Por cuanto subiste al lecho de tu padre; Entonces te envileciste, subiendo a mi estrado.Boiling over as water, thou shalt not have the pre-eminence; Because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; Then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5.Simeón y Leví son hermanos; Armas de iniquidad sus armas.Simeon and Levi are brethren; Weapons of violence are their swords.
6.En su consejo no entre mi alma, Ni mi espíritu se junte en su compañía. Porque en su furor mataron hombres, Y en su temeridad desjarretaron toros.O my soul, come not thou into their council; Unto their assembly, my glory, be not thou united; For in their anger they slew a man, And in their self-will they hocked an ox.
7.Maldito su furor, que fue fiero; Y su ira, que fue dura.Yo los apartaré en Jacob, Y los esparciré en Israel.Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; And their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.
8.Judá, te alabarán tus hermanos; Tu mano en la cerviz de tus enemigos; Los hijos de tu padre se inclinarán a ti.Judah, thee shall thy brethren praise: Thy hand shall be on the neck of thine enemies; Thy father's sons shall bow down before thee.
9.Cachorro de león, Judá; De la presa subiste, hijo mío. Se encorvó, se echó como león, Así como león viejo: ¿quién lo despertará?Judah is a lion's whelp; From the prey, my son, thou art gone up: He stooped down, he couched as a lion, And as a lioness; who shall rouse him up?
10.No será quitado el cetro de Judá, Ni el legislador de entre sus pies, Hasta que venga Siloh; Y a él se congregarán los pueblos.The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh come; And unto him shall the obedience of the peoples be.
11.Atando a la vid su pollino, Y a la cepa el hijo de su asna, Lavó en el vino su vestido, Y en la sangre de uvas su manto.Binding his foal unto the vine, And his ass's colt unto the choice vine; He hath washed his garments in wine, And his vesture in the blood of grapes:
12.Sus ojos, rojos del vino, Y sus dientes blancos de la leche.His eyes shall be red with wine, And his teeth white with milk.
13.Zabulón en puertos de mar habitará; Será para puerto de naves, Y su límite hasta Sidón.Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; And he shall be for a haven of ships; And his border shall be upon Sidon.
14.Isacar, asno fuerte Que se recuesta entre los apriscos;Issachar is a strong ass, Couching down between the sheepfolds:
15.Y vio que el descanso era bueno, y que la tierra era deleitosa; Y bajó su hombro para llevar, Y sirvió en tributo.And he saw a resting-place that it was good, And the land that it was pleasant; And he bowed his shoulder to bear, And became a servant under taskwork.
16.Dan juzgará a su pueblo, Como una de las tribus de Israel.Dan shall judge his people, As one of the tribes of Israel.
17.Será Dan serpiente junto al camino, Víbora junto a la senda, Que muerde los talones del caballo, Y hace caer hacia atrás al jinete.Dan shall be a serpent in the way, An adder in the path, That biteth the horse's heels, So that his rider falleth backward.
18.Tu salvación esperé, oh Jehová.I have waited for thy salvation, O Jehovah.
19.Gad, ejército lo acometerá; Mas él acometerá al fin.Gad, a troop shall press upon him; But he shall press upon their heel.
20.El pan de Aser será substancioso, Y él dará deleites al rey.Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, And he shall yield royal dainties.
21.Neftalí, cierva suelta, Que pronunciará dichos hermosos.Naphtali is a hind let loose: He giveth goodly words.
22.Rama fructífera es José, Rama fructífera junto a una fuente, Cuyos vástagos se extienden sobre el muro.Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a fountain; His branches run over the wall.
23.Le causaron amargura, Le asaetearon, Y le aborrecieron los arqueros;The archers have sorely grieved him, And shot at him, and persecuted him:
24.Mas su arco se mantuvo poderoso, Y los brazos de sus manos se fortalecieron Por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob (Por el nombre del Pastor, la Roca de Israel),But his bow abode in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong, By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel),
25.Por el Dios de tu padre, el cual te ayudará, Por el Dios Omnipotente, el cual te bendecirá Con bendiciones de los cielos de arriba, Con bendiciones del abismo que está abajo, Con bendiciones de los pechos y del vientre.Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee, And by the Almighty, who shall bless thee, With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that coucheth beneath, Blessings of the breasts, and of the womb.
26.Las bendiciones de tu padre Fueron mayores que las bendiciones de mis progenitores; Hasta el término de los collados eternos Serán sobre la cabeza de José, Y sobre la frente del que fue apartado de entre sus hermanos.The blessings of thy father Have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors Unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: They shall be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
27.Benjamín es lobo arrebatador; A la mañana comerá la presa, Y a la tarde repartirá los despojos.Benjamin is a wolf that raveneth: In the morning he shall devour the prey, And at even he shall divide the spoil.
28.Todos éstos fueron las doce tribus de Israel, y esto fue lo que su padre les dijo, al bendecirlos; a cada uno por su bendición los bendijo.All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29.Les mandó luego, y les dijo: Yo voy a ser reunido con mi pueblo. Sepultadme con mis padres en la cueva que está en el campo de Efrón el heteo,And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30.en la cueva que está en el campo de Macpela, al oriente de Mamre en la tierra de Canaán, la cual compró Abraham con el mismo campo de Efrón el heteo, para heredad de sepultura.in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a burying-place.
31.Allí sepultaron a Abraham y a Sara su mujer; allí sepultaron a Isaac y a Rebeca su mujer; allí también sepulté yo a Lea.There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah—
