1.가난한 자를 보살피는 자에게 복이 있음이여 재앙의 날에 여호와께서 그를 건지시리로다For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil.
2.여호와께서 그를 지키사 살게 하시리니 그가 이 세상에서 복을 받을 것이라 주여 그를 그 원수들의 뜻에 맡기지 마소서Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive, And he shall be blessed upon the earth; And deliver not thou him unto the will of his enemies.
3.여호와께서 그를 병상에서 붙드시고 그가 누워 있을 때마다 그의 병을 고쳐 주시나이다Jehovah will support him upon the couch of languishing: Thou makest all his bed in his sickness.
4.내가 말하기를 여호와여 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 내가 주께 범죄하였사오니 나를 고치소서 하였나이다I said, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me: Heal my soul; For I have sinned against thee.
5.나의 원수가 내게 대하여 악담하기를 그가 어느 때에나 죽고 그의 이름이 언제나 없어질까 하며Mine enemies speak evil against me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish?
6.나를 보러 와서는 거짓을 말하고 그의 중심에 악을 쌓았다가 나가서는 이를 널리 선포하오며And if he come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
7.나를 미워하는 자가 다 하나같이 내게 대하여 수군거리고 나를 해하려고 꾀하며All that hate me whisper together against me; Against me do they devise my hurt.
8.이르기를 악한 병이 그에게 들었으니 이제 그가 눕고 다시 일어나지 못하리라 하오며An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; And now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
9.내가 신뢰하여 내 떡을 나눠 먹던 나의 가까운 친구도 나를 대적하여 그의 발꿈치를 들었나이다Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me.
10.그러하오나 주 여호와여 내게 은혜를 베푸시고 나를 일으키사 내가 그들에게 보응하게 하소서 이로써But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them.
11.내 원수가 나를 이기지 못하오니 주께서 나를 기뻐하시는 줄을 내가 알았나이다By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
12.주께서 나를 온전한 중에 붙드시고 영원히 주 앞에 세우시나이다And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever.
13.이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 영원부터 영원까지 송축할지로다 아멘 아멘Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
