1.하나님이여 내 기도에 귀를 기울이시고 내가 간구할 때에 숨지 마소서For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. Maschil of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; And hide not thyself from my supplication.
2.내게 굽히사 응답하소서 내가 근심으로 편하지 못하여 탄식하오니Attend unto me, and answer me: I am restless in my complaint, and moan,
3.이는 원수의 소리와 악인의 압제 때문이라 그들이 죄악을 내게 더하며 노하여 나를 핍박하나이다Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; For they cast iniquity upon me, And in anger they persecute me.
4.내 마음이 내 속에서 심히 아파하며 사망의 위험이 내게 이르렀도다My heart is sore pained within me: And the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5.두려움과 떨림이 내게 이르고 공포가 나를 덮었도다Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, And horror hath overwhelmed me.
6.나는 말하기를 만일 내게 비둘기 같이 날개가 있다면 날아가서 편히 쉬리로다And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7.내가 멀리 날아가서 광야에 머무르리로다 (셀라)Lo, then would I wander far off, I would lodge in the wilderness. [[Selah
8.내가 나의 피난처로 속히 가서 폭풍과 광풍을 피하리라 하였도다I would haste me to a shelter From the stormy wind and tempest.
9.내가 성내에서 강포와 분쟁을 보았사오니 주여 그들을 멸하소서 그들의 혀를 잘라 버리소서Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongue; For I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10.그들이 주야로 성벽 위에 두루 다니니 성 중에는 죄악과 재난이 있으며Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: Iniquity also and mischief are in the midst of it.
11.악독이 그 중에 있고 압박과 속임수가 그 거리를 떠나지 아니하도다Wickedness is in the midst thereof: Oppression and guile depart not from its streets.
12.나를 책망하는 자는 원수가 아니라 원수일진대 내가 참았으리라 나를 대하여 자기를 높이는 자는 나를 미워하는 자가 아니라 미워하는 자일진대 내가 그를 피하여 숨었으리라For it was not an enemy that reproached me; Then I could have borne it: Neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; Then I would have hid myself from him:
13.그는 곧 너로다 나의 동료, 나의 친구요 나의 가까운 친우로다But it was thou, a man mine equal, My companion, and my familiar friend.
14.우리가 같이 재미있게 의논하며 무리와 함께 하여 하나님의 집 안에서 다녔도다We took sweet counsel together; We walked in the house of God with the throng.
15.사망이 갑자기 그들에게 임하여 산 채로 스올에 내려갈지어다 이는 악독이 그들의 거처에 있고 그들 가운데에 있음이로다Let death come suddenly upon them, Let them go down alive into Sheol; For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.
16.나는 하나님께 부르짖으리니 여호와께서 나를 구원하시리로다As for me, I will call upon God; And Jehovah will save me.
17.저녁과 아침과 정오에 내가 근심하여 탄식하리니 여호와께서 내 소리를 들으시리로다Evening, and morning, and at noonday, will I complain, and moan; And he will hear my voice.
18.나를 대적하는 자 많더니 나를 치는 전쟁에서 그가 내 생명을 구원하사 평안하게 하셨도다He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; For they were many that strove with me.
19.옛부터 계시는 하나님이 들으시고 그들을 낮추시리이다 (셀라) 그들은 변하지 아니하며 하나님을 경외하지 아니함이니이다God will hear, and answer them, Even he that abideth of old, [[Selah The men who have no changes, And who fear not God.
20.그는 손을 들어 자기와 화목한 자를 치고 그의 언약을 배반하였도다He hath put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him: He hath profaned his covenant.
21.그의 입은 우유 기름보다 미끄러우나 그의 마음은 전쟁이요 그의 말은 기름보다 유하나 실상은 뽑힌 칼이로다His mouth was smooth as butter, But his heart was war: His words were softer than oil, Yet were they drawn swords.
22.네 짐을 여호와께 맡기라 그가 너를 붙드시고 의인의 요동함을 영원히 허락하지 아니하시리로다Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23.하나님이여 주께서 그들로 파멸의 웅덩이에 빠지게 하시리이다 피를 흘리게 하며 속이는 자들은 그들의 날의 반도 살지 못할 것이나 나는 주를 의지하리이다But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in thee.
