Psalms 117:1-2
Praise GOD, all you nations;extol [God], all you peoples, for great is this steadfast love toward us; GOD’s faithfulness endures forever.Hallelujah.
Psalm 117 is the Bible's shortest chapter, yet its scope is cosmic: every nation, every people, summoned to praise. The reason given is not Israel's size, might, or privilege, but God's 'steadfast love' (chesed) and 'faithfulness' (emeth) — the two pillars of covenant love that bear the weight of our trust.
