2.여호와께서 명령하시는 법의 율례를 이제 이르노니 이스라엘 자손에게 일러서 온전하여 흠이 없고 아직 멍에 메지 아니한 붉은 암송아지를 네게로 끌어오게 하고This is the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.
3.너는 그것을 제사장 엘르아살에게 줄 것이요 그는 그것을 진영 밖으로 끌어내어서 자기 목전에서 잡게 할 것이며And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, and he shall bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
4.제사장 엘르아살은 손가락에 그 피를 찍고 그 피를 회막 앞을 향하여 일곱 번 뿌리고and Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle her blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
5.그 암소를 자기 목전에서 불사르게 하되 그 가죽과 고기와 피와 똥을 불사르게 하고And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:
6.동시에 제사장은 백향목과 우슬초와 홍색 실을 가져다가 암송아지를 사르는 불 가운데에 던질 것이며and the priest shall take cedar - wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
7.제사장은 자기의 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻은 후에 진영에 들어갈 것이라 그는 저녁까지 부정하리라Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.
8.송아지를 불사른 자도 자기의 옷을 물로 빨고 물로 그 몸을 씻을 것이라 그도 저녁까지 부정하리라And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.
9.이에 정결한 자가 암송아지의 재를 거두어 진영 밖 정한 곳에 둘지니 이것은 이스라엘 자손 회중을 위하여 간직하였다가 부정을 씻는 물을 위해 간직할지니 그것은 속죄제니라And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water for impurity: it is a sin-offering.
10.암송아지의 재를 거둔 자도 자기의 옷을 빨 것이며 저녁까지 부정하리라 이는 이스라엘 자손과 그중에 거류하는 외인에게 영원한 율례니라And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
11.사람의 시체를 만진 자는 이레 동안 부정하리니He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days:
12.그는 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 잿물로 자신을 정결하게 할 것이라 그리하면 정하려니와 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 자신을 정결하게 하지 아니하면 그냥 부정하니the same shall purify himself therewith on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
13.누구든지 죽은 사람의 시체를 만지고 자신을 정결하게 하지 아니하는 자는 여호와의 성막을 더럽힘이라 그가 이스라엘에서 끊어질 것은 정결하게 하는 물을 그에게 뿌리지 아니하므로 깨끗하게 되지 못하고 그 부정함이 그대로 있음이니라Whosoever toucheth a dead person, the body of a man that hath died, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water for impurity was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
14.장막에서 사람이 죽을 때의 법은 이러하니 누구든지 그 장막에 들어가는 자와 그 장막에 있는 자가 이레 동안 부정할 것이며This is the law when a man dieth in a tent: every one that cometh into the tent, and every one that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
15.뚜껑을 열어 놓고 덮지 아니한 그릇은 모두 부정하니라And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.
16.누구든지 들에서 칼에 죽은 자나 시체나 사람의 뼈나 무덤을 만졌으면 이레 동안 부정하리니And whosoever in the open field toucheth one that is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
17.그 부정한 자를 위하여 죄를 깨끗하게 하려고 불사른 재를 가져다가 흐르는 물과 함께 그릇에 담고And for the unclean they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the sin-offering; and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:
18.정결한 자가 우슬초를 가져다가 그 물을 찍어 장막과 그 모든 기구와 거기 있는 사람들에게 뿌리고 또 뼈나 죽임을 당한 자나 시체나 무덤을 만진 자에게 뿌리되and a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave:
19.그 정결한 자가 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 그 부정한 자에게 뿌려서 일곱째 날에 그를 정결하게 할 것이며 그는 자기 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻을 것이라 저녁이면 정결하리라and the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify him; and he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
20.사람이 부정하고도 자신을 정결하게 하지 아니하면 여호와의 성소를 더럽힘이니 그러므로 회중 가운데에서 끊어질 것이니라 그는 정결하게 하는 물로 뿌림을 받지 아니하였은즉 부정하니라But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of Jehovah: the water for impurity hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
21.이는 그들의 영구한 율례니라 정결하게 하는 물을 뿌린 자는 자기의 옷을 빨 것이며 정결하게 하는 물을 만지는 자는 저녁까지 부정할 것이며And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them: and he that sprinkleth the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and he that toucheth the water for impurity shall be unclean until even.
22.부정한 자가 만진 것은 무엇이든지 부정할 것이며 그것을 만지는 자도 저녁까지 부정하리라And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.
