1. 1.르우벤 자손과 갓 자손은 심히 많은 가축 떼를 가졌더라 그들이 야셀 땅과 길르앗 땅을 본즉 그 곳은 목축할 만한 장소인지라Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;💡
2. 2.갓 자손과 르우벤 자손이 와서 모세와 제사장 엘르아살과 회중 지휘관들에게 말하여 이르되the children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,💡
3. 3.아다롯과 디본과 야셀과 니므라와 헤스본과 엘르알레와 스밤과 느보와 브온Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,💡
4. 4.곧 여호와께서 이스라엘 회중 앞에서 쳐서 멸하신 땅은 목축할 만한 장소요 당신의 종들에게는 가축이 있나이다the land which Jehovah smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle; and thy servants have cattle.💡
5. 5.또 이르되 우리가 만일 당신에게 은혜를 입었으면 이 땅을 당신의 종들에게 그들의 소유로 주시고 우리에게 요단 강을 건너지 않게 하소서And they said, If we have found favor in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession; bring us not over the Jordan.💡
6. 6.모세가 갓 자손과 르우벤 자손에게 이르되 너희 형제들은 싸우러 가거늘 너희는 여기 앉아 있고자 하느냐And Moses said unto the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to the war, and shall ye sit here?💡
7. 7.너희가 어찌하여 이스라엘 자손에게 낙심하게 하여서 여호와께서 그들에게 주신 땅으로 건너갈 수 없게 하려 하느냐And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which Jehovah hath given them?💡
8. 8.너희 조상들도 내가 가데스바네아에서 그 땅을 보라고 보냈을 때에 그리 하였었나니Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.💡
9. 9.그들이 에스골 골짜기에 올라가서 그 땅을 보고 이스라엘 자손을 낙심하게 하여서 여호와께서 그들에게 주신 땅으로 갈 수 없게 하였었느니라For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which Jehovah had given them.💡
10. 10.그 때에 여호와께서 진노하사 맹세하여 이르시되And Jehovah's anger was kindled in that day, and he sware, saying,💡
11. 11.애굽에서 나온 자들이 이십 세 이상으로는 한 사람도 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세한 땅을 결코 보지 못하리니 이는 그들이 나를 온전히 따르지 아니하였음이니라Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:💡
12. 12.그러나 그나스 사람 여분네의 아들 갈렙과 눈의 아들 여호수아는 여호와를 온전히 따랐느니라 하시고save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun; because they have wholly followed Jehovah.💡
13. 13.여호와께서 이스라엘에게 진노하사 그들에게 사십 년 동안 광야에 방황하게 하셨으므로 여호와의 목전에 악을 행한 그 세대가 마침내는 다 끊어졌느니라And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of Jehovah, was consumed.💡
14. 14.보라 너희는 너희의 조상의 대를 이어 일어난 죄인의 무리로서 이스라엘을 향하신 여호와의 노를 더욱 심하게 하는도다And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of Jehovah toward Israel.💡
15. 15.너희가 만일 돌이켜 여호와를 떠나면 여호와께서 다시 이 백성을 광야에 버리시리니 그리하면 너희가 이 모든 백성을 멸망시키리라For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye will destroy all this people.💡
16. 16.그들이 모세에게 가까이 나아와 이르되 우리가 이 곳에 우리 가축을 위하여 우리를 짓고 우리 어린 아이들을 위하여 성읍을 건축하고And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:💡
17. 17.이 땅의 원주민이 있으므로 우리 어린 아이들을 그 견고한 성읍에 거주하게 한 후에 우리는 무장하고 이스라엘 자손을 그 곳으로 인도하기까지 그들의 앞에서 가고but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.💡
18. 18.이스라엘 자손이 각기 기업을 받기까지 우리 집으로 돌아오지 아니하겠사오며We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.💡
19. 19.우리는 요단 이쪽 곧 동쪽에서 기업을 받았사오니 그들과 함께 요단 저쪽에서는 기업을 받지 아니하겠나이다For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan, and forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.💡
20. 20.모세가 그들에게 이르되 너희가 만일 이 일을 행하여 무장하고 여호와 앞에서 가서 싸우되And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will arm yourselves to go before Jehovah to the war,💡
21. 21.너희가 다 무장하고 여호와 앞에서 요단을 건너가서 여호와께서 그의 원수를 자기 앞에서 쫓아내시고and every armed man of you will pass over the Jordan before Jehovah, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,💡
22. 22.그 땅이 여호와 앞에 복종하게 하시기까지 싸우면 여호와 앞에서나 이스라엘 앞에서나 무죄하여 돌아오겠고 이 땅은 여호와 앞에서 너희의 소유가 되리라마는and the land is subdued before Jehovah; then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless towards Jehovah, and towards Israel; and this land shall be unto you for a possession before Jehovah.💡
23. 23.너희가 만일 그같이 아니하면 여호와께 범죄함이니 너희 죄가 반드시 너희를 찾아낼 줄 알라But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against Jehovah; and be sure your sin will find you out.💡
24. 24.너희는 어린 아이들을 위하여 성읍을 건축하고 양을 위하여 우리를 지으라 그리하고 너희의 입이 말한 대로 행하라Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.💡
25. 25.갓 자손과 르우벤 자손이 모세에게 대답하여 이르되 주의 종들인 우리는 우리 주의 명령대로 행할 것이라And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.💡
26. 26.우리의 어린 아이들과 아내와 양 떼와 모든 가축은 이곳 길르앗 성읍들에 두고Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead;💡
27. 27.종들은 우리 주의 말씀대로 무장하고 여호와 앞에서 다 건너가서 싸우리이다but thy servants will pass over, every man that is armed for war, before Jehovah to battle, as my lord saith.💡
28. 28.이에 모세가 그들에 대하여 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 이스라엘 자손 지파의 수령들에게 명령하니라So Moses gave charge concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.💡
29. 29.모세가 그들에게 이르되 갓 자손과 르우벤 자손이 만일 각각 무장하고 너희와 함께 요단을 건너가서 여호와 앞에서 싸워서 그 땅이 너희 앞에 항복하기에 이르면 길르앗 땅을 그들의 소유로 줄 것이니라And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man that is armed to battle, before Jehovah, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:💡
30. 30.그러나 만일 그들이 너희와 함께 무장하고 건너지 아니하면 그들은 가나안 땅에서 너희와 함께 땅을 소유할 것이니라but if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.💡
31. 31.갓 자손과 르우벤 자손이 대답하여 이르되 여호와께서 당신의 종들에게 명령하신 대로 우리가 행할 것이라And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As Jehovah hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.💡
32. 32.우리가 무장하고 여호와 앞에서 가나안 땅에 건너가서 요단 이쪽을 우리가 소유할 기업이 되게 하리이다We will pass over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.💡
33. 33.모세가 갓 자손과 르우벤 자손과 요셉의 아들 므낫세 반 지파에게 아모리인의 왕 시혼의 나라와 바산 왕 옥의 나라를 주되 곧 그 땅과 그 경내의 성읍들과 그 성읍들의 사방 땅을 그들에게 주매And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto the half - tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, according to the cities thereof with their borders, even the cities of the land round about.💡
34. 34.갓 자손은 디본과 아다롯과 아로엘과And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,💡
35. 35.아다롯소반과 야셀과 욕브하와and Atrothshophan, and Jazer, and Jogbehah,💡
36. 36.벧니므라와 벧하란들의 견고한 성읍을 건축하였고 또 양을 위하여 우리를 지었으며and Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran: fortified cities, and folds for sheep.💡
37. 37.르우벤 자손은 헤스본과 엘르알레와 기랴다임과And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,💡
38. 38.느보와 바알므온들을 건축하고 그 이름을 바꾸었고 또 십마를 건축하고 건축한 성읍들에 새 이름을 주었고and Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed,) and Sibmah: and they gave other names unto the cities which they builded.💡
39. 39.므낫세의 아들 마길의 자손은 가서 길르앗을 쳐서 빼앗고 거기 있는 아모리인을 쫓아내매And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorites that were therein.💡
40. 40.모세가 길르앗을 므낫세의 아들 마길에게 주매 그가 거기 거주하였고And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.💡
41. 41.므낫세의 아들 야일은 가서 그 촌락들을 빼앗고 하봇야일이라 불렀으며And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the towns thereof, and called them Havvoth-jair.💡
42. 42.노바는 가서 그낫과 그 마을들을 빼앗고 자기 이름을 따라서 노바라 불렀더라And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages thereof, and called it Nobah, after his own name.💡
