1.美 名 勝 過 大 財 ； 恩 寵 強 如 金 銀 。A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, And loving favor rather than silver and gold.
2.富 戶 窮 人 在 世 相 遇 ， 都 為 耶 和 華 所 造 。The rich and the poor meet together: Jehovah is the maker of them all.
3.通 達 人 見 禍 藏 躲 ； 愚 蒙 人 前 往 受 害 。A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself; But the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
4.敬 畏 耶 和 華 心 存 謙 卑 ， 就 得 富 有 、 尊 榮 、 生 命 為 賞 賜 。The reward of humility and the fear of Jehovah Is riches, and honor, and life.
5.乖 僻 人 的 路 上 有 荊 棘 和 網 羅 ； 保 守 自 己 生 命 的 ， 必 要 遠 離 。Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse: He that keepeth his soul shall be far from them.
6.教 養 孩 童 ， 使 他 走 當 行 的 道 ， 就 是 到 老 他 也 不 偏 離 。Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he will not depart from it.
7.富 戶 管 轄 窮 人 ； 欠 債 的 是 債 主 的 僕 人 。The rich ruleth over the poor; And the borrower is servant to the lender.
8.撒 罪 孽 的 ， 必 收 災 禍 ； 他 逞 怒 的 杖 也 必 廢 掉 。He that soweth iniquity shall reap calamity; And the rod of his wrath shall fail.
9.眼 目 慈 善 的 ， 就 必 蒙 福 ， 因 他 將 食 物 分 給 窮 人 。He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; For he giveth of his bread to the poor.
10.趕 出 褻 慢 人 ， 爭 端 就 消 除 ； 紛 爭 和 羞 辱 也 必 止 息 。Cast out the scoffer, and contention will go out; Yea, strife and ignominy will cease.
11.喜 愛 清 心 的 人 因 他 嘴 上 的 恩 言 ， 王 必 與 他 為 友 。He that loveth pureness of heart, For the grace of his lips the king will be his friend.
12.耶 和 華 的 眼 目 眷 顧 聰 明 人 ， 卻 傾 敗 奸 詐 人 的 言 語 。The eyes of Jehovah preserve him that hath knowledge; But he overthroweth the words of the treacherous man.
13.懶 惰 人 說 ： 外 頭 有 獅 子 ； 我 在 街 上 就 必 被 殺 。The sluggard saith, There is a lion without: I shall be slain in the streets.
14.淫 婦 的 口 為 深 坑 ； 耶 和 華 所 憎 惡 的 ， 必 陷 在 其 中 。The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: He that is abhorred of Jehovah shall fall therein.
15.愚 蒙 迷 住 孩 童 的 心 ， 用 管 教 的 杖 可 以 遠 遠 趕 除 。Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; But the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
16.欺 壓 貧 窮 為 要 利 己 的 ， 並 送 禮 與 富 戶 的 ， 都 必 缺 乏 。He that oppresseth the poor to increase his gain, And he that giveth to the rich, shall come only to want.
17.你 須 側 耳 聽 受 智 慧 人 的 言 語 ， 留 心 領 會 我 的 知 識 。Incline thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, And apply thy heart unto my knowledge.
18.你 若 心 中 存 記 ， 嘴 上 咬 定 ， 這 便 為 美 。For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee, If they be established together upon thy lips.
19.我 今 日 以 此 特 特 指 教 你 ， 為 要 使 你 倚 靠 耶 和 華 。That thy trust may be in Jehovah, I have made them known to thee this day, even to thee.
20.謀 略 和 知 識 的 美 事 ， 我 豈 沒 有 寫 給 你 麼 ？Have not I written unto thee excellent things Of counsels and knowledge,
21.要 使 你 知 道 真 言 的 實 理 ， 你 好 將 真 言 回 覆 那 打 發 你 來 的 人 。To make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, That thou mayest carry back words of truth to them that send thee?
22.貧 窮 人 ， 你 不 可 因 他 貧 窮 就 搶 奪 他 的 物 ， 也 不 可 在 城 門 口 欺 壓 困 苦 人 ；Rob not the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
23.因 耶 和 華 必 為 他 辨 屈 ； 搶 奪 他 的 ， 耶 和 華 必 奪 取 那 人 的 命 。For Jehovah will plead their cause, And despoil of life those that despoil them.
24.好 生 氣 的 人 ， 不 可 與 他 結 交 ； 暴 怒 的 人 ， 不 可 與 他 來 往 ；Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; And with a wrathful man thou shalt not go:
25.恐 怕 你 效 法 他 的 行 為 ， 自 己 就 陷 在 網 羅 裡 。Lest thou learn this ways, And get a snare to thy soul.
26.不 要 與 人 擊 掌 ， 不 要 為 欠 債 的 作 保 。Be thou not one of them that strike hands, Or of them that are sureties for debts.
27.你 若 沒 有 甚 麼 償 還 ， 何 必 使 人 奪 去 你 睡 臥 的 床 呢 ？If thou hast not wherewith to pay, Why should he take away thy bed from under thee?
28.你 先 祖 所 立 的 地 界 ， 你 不 可 挪 移 。Remove not the ancient landmark, Which thy fathers have set.
29.你 看 見 辦 事 殷 勤 的 人 麼 ？ 他 必 站 在 君 王 面 前 ， 必 不 站 在 下 賤 人 面 前 。Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.
