1. 1.我 兒 ， 要 留 心 我 智 慧 的 話 語 ， 側 耳 聽 我 聰 明 的 言 詞 ，My son, attend unto my wisdom; Incline thine ear to my understanding:💡
2. 2.為 要 使 你 謹 守 謀 略 ， 嘴 唇 保 存 知 識 。That thou mayest preserve discretion, And that thy lips may keep knowledge.💡
3. 3.因 為 淫 婦 的 嘴 滴 下 蜂 蜜 ； 他 的 口 比 油 更 滑 ，For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil:💡
4. 4.至 終 卻 苦 似 茵 蔯 ， 快 如 兩 刃 的 刀 。But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.💡
5. 5.他 的 腳 下 入 死 地 ； 他 腳 步 踏 住 陰 間 ，Her feet go down to death; Her steps take hold on Sheol;💡
6. 6.以 致 他 找 不 著 生 命 平 坦 的 道 。 他 的 路 變 遷 不 定 ， 自 己 還 不 知 道 。So that she findeth not the level path of life: Her ways are unstable, and she knoweth it not.💡
7. 7.眾 子 啊 ， 現 在 要 聽 從 我 ； 不 可 離 棄 我 口 中 的 話 。Now therefore, my sons, hearken unto me, And depart not from the words of my mouth.💡
8. 8.你 所 行 的 道 要 離 他 遠 ， 不 可 就 近 他 的 房 門 ，Remove thy way far from her, And come not nigh the door of her house;💡
9. 9.恐 怕 將 你 的 尊 榮 給 別 人 ， 將 你 的 歲 月 給 殘 忍 的 人 ；Lest thou give thine honor unto others, And thy years unto the cruel;💡
10. 10.恐 怕 外 人 滿 得 你 的 力 量 ， 你 勞 碌 得 來 的 ， 歸 入 外 人 的 家 ；Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, And thy labors be in the house of an alien,💡
11. 11.終 久 ， 你 皮 肉 和 身 體 消 毀 ， 你 就 悲 歎 ，And thou mourn at thy latter end, When thy flesh and thy body are consumed,💡
12. 12.說 ： 我 怎 麼 恨 惡 訓 誨 ， 心 中 藐 視 責 備 ，And say, How have I hated instruction, And my heart despised reproof;💡
13. 13.也 不 聽 從 我 師 傅 的 話 ， 又 不 側 耳 聽 那 教 訓 我 的 人 ？Neither have I obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!💡
14. 14.我 在 聖 會 裡 ， 幾 乎 落 在 諸 般 惡 中 。I was well-nigh in all evil In the midst of the assembly and congregation.💡
15. 15.你 要 喝 自 己 池 中 的 水 ， 飲 自 己 井 裡 的 活 水 。Drink waters out of thine own cistern, And running waters out of thine own well.💡
16. 16.你 的 泉 源 豈 可 漲 溢 在 外 ？ 你 的 河 水 豈 可 流 在 街 上 ？Should thy springs be dispersed abroad, And streams of water in the streets?💡
17. 17.惟 獨 歸 你 一 人 ， 不 可 與 外 人 同 用 。Let them be for thyself alone, And not for strangers with thee.💡
18. 18.要 使 你 的 泉 源 蒙 福 ； 要 喜 悅 你 幼 年 所 娶 的 妻 。Let thy fountain be blessed; And rejoice in the wife of thy youth.💡
19. 19.他 如 可 愛 的 麀 鹿 ， 可 喜 的 母 鹿 ； 願 他 的 胸 懷 使 你 時 時 知 足 ， 他 的 愛 情 使 你 常 常 戀 慕 。As a loving hind and a pleasant doe, Let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; And be thou ravished always with her love.💡
20. 20.我 兒 ， 你 為 何 戀 慕 淫 婦 ？ 為 何 抱 外 女 的 胸 懷 ？For why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?💡
21. 21.因 為 ， 人 所 行 的 道 都 在 耶 和 華 眼 前 ； 他 也 修 平 人 一 切 的 路 。For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah; And he maketh level all his paths.💡
22. 22.惡 人 必 被 自 己 的 罪 孽 捉 住 ； 他 必 被 自 己 的 罪 惡 如 繩 索 纏 繞 。His own iniquities shall take the wicked, And he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.💡
23. 23.他 因 不 受 訓 誨 就 必 死 亡 ； 又 因 愚 昧 過 甚 ， 必 走 差 了 路 。He shall die for lack of instruction; And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.💡
