1. 1.하나님의 영이 오뎃의 아들 아사랴에게 임하시매And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:💡
2. 2.그가 나가서 아사를 맞아 이르되 아사와 및 유다와 베냐민의 무리들아 내 말을 들으라 너희가 여호와와 함께 하면 여호와께서 너희와 함께 하실지라 너희가 만일 그를 찾으면 그가 너희와 만나게 되시려니와 너희가 만일 그를 버리면 그도 너희를 버리시리라and he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: Jehovah is with you, while ye are with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.💡
3. 3.이스라엘에는 참 신이 없고 가르치는 제사장도 없고 율법도 없은 지가 오래 되었으나Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:💡
4. 4.그들이 그 환난 때에 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께로 돌아가서 찾으매 그가 그들과 만나게 되셨나니But when in their distress they turned unto Jehovah, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.💡
5. 5.그 때에 온 땅의 모든 주민이 크게 요란하여 사람의 출입이 평안하지 못하며And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.💡
6. 6.이 나라와 저 나라가 서로 치고 이 성읍이 저 성읍과 또한 그러하여 피차 상한 바 되었나니 이는 하나님이 여러 가지 고난으로 요란하게 하셨음이라And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God did vex them with all adversity.💡
7. 7.그런즉 너희는 강하게 하라 너희의 손이 약하지 않게 하라 너희 행위에는 상급이 있음이라 하니라But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.💡
8. 8.아사가 이 말 곧 선지자 오뎃의 예언을 듣고 마음을 강하게 하여 가증한 물건들을 유다와 베냐민 온 땅에서 없애고 또 에브라임 산지에서 빼앗은 성읍들에서도 없애고 또 여호와의 낭실 앞에 있는 여호와의 제단을 재건하고And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Jehovah, that was before the porch of Jehovah.💡
9. 9.또 유다와 베냐민의 무리를 모으고 에브라임과 므낫세와 시므온 가운데에서 나와서 저희 중에 머물러 사는 자들을 모았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람들이 아사의 하나님 여호와께서 그와 함께 하심을 보고 아사에게로 돌아오는 자가 많았음이더라And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.💡
10. 10.아사 왕 제십오년 셋째 달에 그들이 예루살렘에 모이고So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.💡
11. 11.그 날에 노략하여 온 물건 중에서 소 칠백 마리와 양 칠천 마리로 여호와께 제사를 지내고And they sacrificed unto Jehovah in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.💡
12. 12.또 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하여 조상들의 하나님 여호와를 찾기로 언약하고And they entered into the covenant to seek Jehovah, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;💡
13. 13.이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 찾지 아니하는 자는 대소 남녀를 막론하고 죽이는 것이 마땅하다 하고and that whosoever would not seek Jehovah, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.💡
14. 14.무리가 큰 소리로 외치며 피리와 나팔을 불어 여호와께 맹세하매And they sware unto Jehovah with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.💡
15. 15.온 유다가 이 맹세를 기뻐한지라 무리가 마음을 다하여 맹세하고 뜻을 다하여 여호와를 찾았으므로 여호와께서도 그들을 만나 주시고 그들의 사방에 평안을 주셨더라And all Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and Jehovah gave them rest round about.💡
16. 16.아사 왕의 어머니 마아가가 아세라의 가증한 목상을 만들었으므로 아사가 그의 태후의 자리를 폐하고 그의 우상을 찍고 빻아 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으니And also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.💡
17. 17.산당은 이스라엘 중에서 제하지 아니하였으나 아사의 마음이 일평생 온전하였더라But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.💡
18. 18.그가 또 그의 아버지가 구별한 물건과 자기가 구별한 물건 곧 은과 금과 그릇들을 하나님의 전에 드렸더니And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.💡
19. 19.이 때부터 아사 왕 제삼십오년까지 다시는 전쟁이 없으니라And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.💡
