1. 1.我 們 既 已 得 救 ， 才 知 道 那 島 名 叫 米 利 大 。And when we were escaped, then we knew that the island was called Melita.💡
2. 2.土 人 看 待 我 們 ， 有 非 常 的 情 分 ； 因 為 當 時 下 雨 ， 天 氣 又 冷 ， 就 生 火 接 待 我 們 眾 人 。And the barbarians showed us no common kindness; for they kindled a fire, and received us all, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.💡
3. 3.那 時 ， 保 羅 拾 起 一 捆 柴 ， 放 在 火 上 ， 有 一 條 毒 蛇 ， 因 為 熱 了 出 來 ， 咬 住 他 的 手 。But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out by reason of the heat, and fastened on his hand.💡
4. 4.土 人 看 見 那 毒 蛇 懸 在 他 手 上 ， 就 彼 此 說 ： 這 人 必 是 個 兇 手 ， 雖 然 從 海 裡 救 上 來 ， 天 理 還 不 容 他 活 著 。And when the barbarians saw the venomous creature hanging from his hand, they said one to another, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped from the sea, yet Justice hath not suffered to live.💡
5. 5.保 羅 竟 把 那 毒 蛇 甩 在 火 裡 ， 並 沒 有 受 傷 。Howbeit he shook off the creature into the fire, and took no harm.💡
6. 6.土 人 想 他 必 要 腫 起 來 ， 或 是 忽 然 仆 倒 死 了 ； 看 了 多 時 ， 見 他 無 害 ， 就 轉 念 ， 說 ： 他 是 個 神 。But they expected that he would have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but when they were long in expectation and beheld nothing amiss came to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.💡
7. 7.離 那 地 方 不 遠 ， 有 田 產 是 島 長 部 百 流 的 ； 他 接 納 我 們 ， 盡 情 款 待 三 日 。Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us, and entertained us three days courteously.💡
8. 8.當 時 ， 部 百 流 的 父 親 患 熱 病 和 痢 疾 躺 著 。 保 羅 進 去 ， 為 他 禱 告 ， 按 手 在 他 身 上 ， 治 好 了 他 。And it was so, that the father of Publius lay sick of fever and dysentery: unto whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laying his hands on him healed him.💡
9. 9.從 此 ， 島 上 其 餘 的 病 人 也 來 ， 得 了 醫 治 。And when this was done, the rest also that had diseases in the island came, and were cured:💡
10. 10.他 們 又 多 方 的 尊 敬 我 們 ； 到 了 開 船 的 時 候 ， 也 把 我 們 所 需 用 的 送 到 船 上 。who also honored us with many honors; and when we sailed, they put on board such things as we needed.💡
11. 11.過 了 三 個 月 ， 我 們 上 了 亞 力 山 大 的 船 往 前 行 ； 這 船 以 丟 斯 雙 子 為 記 ， 是 在 那 海 島 過 了 冬 的 。And after three months we set sail in a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in the island, whose sign was The Twin Brothers.💡
12. 12.到 了 敘 拉 古 ， 我 們 停 泊 三 日 ；And touching at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.💡
13. 13.又 從 那 裡 繞 行 ， 來 到 利 基 翁 。 過 了 一 天 ， 起 了 南 風 ， 第 二 天 就 來 到 部 丟 利 。And from thence we made a circuit, and arrived at Rhegium: and after one day a south wind sprang up, and on the second day we came to Puteoli;💡
14. 14.在 那 裡 遇 見 弟 兄 們 ， 請 我 們 與 他 們 同 住 了 七 天 。 這 樣 ， 我 們 來 到 羅 馬 。where we found brethren, and were entreated to tarry with them seven days: and so we came to Rome.💡
15. 15.那 裡 的 弟 兄 們 一 聽 見 我 們 的 信 息 就 出 來 ， 到 亞 比 烏 市 和 三 館 地 方 迎 接 我 們 。 保 羅 見 了 他 們 ， 就 感 謝 神 ， 放 心 壯 膽 。And from thence the brethren, when they heard of us, came to meet us as far as The Market of Appius and The Three Taverns; whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.💡
16. 16.進 了 羅 馬 城 ， （ 有 古 卷 在 此 有 ： 百 夫 長 把 眾 囚 犯 交 給 御 營 的 統 領 ， 惟 有 ） 保 羅 蒙 准 和 一 個 看 守 他 的 兵 另 住 在 一 處 。And when we entered into Rome, Paul was suffered to abide by himself with the soldier that guarded him.💡
17. 17.過 了 三 天 ， 保 羅 請 猶 太 人 的 首 領 來 。 他 們 來 了 ， 就 對 他 們 說 ： 弟 兄 們 ， 我 雖 沒 有 做 甚 麼 事 干 犯 本 國 的 百 姓 和 我 們 祖 宗 的 規 條 ， 卻 被 鎖 綁 ， 從 耶 路 撒 冷 解 在 羅 馬 人 的 手 裡 。And it came to pass, that after three days he called together those that were the chief of the Jews: and when they were come together, he said unto them, I, brethren, though I had done nothing against the people, or the customs of our fathers, yet was delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans:💡
18. 18.他 們 審 問 了 我 ， 就 願 意 釋 放 我 ； 因 為 在 我 身 上 ， 並 沒 有 該 死 的 罪 。 罪 。who, when they had examined me, desired to set me at liberty, because there was no cause of death in me.💡
19. 19.無 奈 猶 太 人 不 服 ， 我 不 得 已 ， 只 好 上 告 於 該 撒 ， 並 非 有 甚 麼 事 要 控 告 我 本 國 的 百 姓 。But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had aught whereof to accuse my nation.💡
20. 20.因 此 ， 我 請 你 們 來 見 面 說 話 ， 我 原 為 以 色 列 人 所 指 望 的 ， 被 這 鍊 子 捆 鎖 。For this cause therefore did I entreat you to see and to speak with me: for because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.💡
21. 21.他 們 說 ： 我 們 並 沒 有 接 著 從 猶 太 來 論 你 的 信 ， 也 沒 有 弟 兄 到 這 裡 來 報 給 我 們 說 你 有 甚 麼 不 好 處 。And they said unto him, We neither received letters from Judaea concerning thee, nor did any of the brethren come hither and report or speak any harm of thee.💡
22. 22.但 我 們 願 意 聽 你 的 意 見 如 何 ； 因 為 這 教 門 ， 我 們 曉 得 是 到 處 被 毀 謗 的 。But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.💡
23. 23.他 們 和 保 羅 約 定 了 日 子 ， 就 有 許 多 人 到 他 的 寓 處 來 。 保 羅 從 早 到 晚 ， 對 他 們 講 論 這 事 ， 證 明 神 國 的 道 ， 引 摩 西 的 律 法 和 先 知 的 書 ， 以 耶 穌 的 事 勸 勉 他 們 。And when they had appointed him a day, they came to him into his lodging in great number; to whom he expounded the matter, testifying the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning till evening.💡
24. 24.他 所 說 的 話 ， 有 信 的 ， 有 不 信 的 。And some believed the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.💡
25. 25.他 們 彼 此 不 合 ， 就 散 了 ； 未 散 以 先 ， 保 羅 說 了 一 句 話 ， 說 ： 聖 靈 藉 先 知 以 賽 亞 向 你 們 祖 宗 所 說 的 話 是 不 錯 的 。And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Spirit through Isaiah the prophet unto your fathers,💡
26. 26.他 說 ： 你 去 告 訴 這 百 姓 說 ： 你 們 聽 是 要 聽 見 ， 卻 不 明 白 ； 看 是 要 看 見 ， 卻 不 曉 得 ；saying, Go thou unto this people, and say, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:💡
27. 27.因 為 這 百 姓 油 蒙 了 心 ， 耳 朵 發 沉 ， 眼 睛 閉 著 ； 恐 怕 眼 睛 看 見 ， 耳 朵 聽 見 ， 心 裡 明 白 ， 回 轉 過 來 ， 我 就 醫 治 他 們 。For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest, haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.💡
28. 28.所 以 你 們 當 知 道 ， 神 這 救 恩 ， 如 今 傳 給 外 邦 人 ， 他 們 也 必 聽 受 。 （ 有 古 卷 在 此 有 ：Be it known therefore unto you, that this salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles: they will also hear.💡
29. 29.保 羅 說 了 這 話 ， 猶 太 人 議 論 紛 紛 的 就 走 了 。 ）And when Paul had said this, the Jews departed, having much dispute among themselves.💡
30. 30.保 羅 在 自 己 所 租 的 房 子 裡 住 了 足 足 兩 年 。 凡 來 見 他 的 人 ， 他 全 都 接 待 ，And he abode two whole years in his own hired dwelling, and received all that went in unto him,💡
31. 31.放 膽 傳 講 神 國 的 道 ， 將 主 耶 穌 基 督 的 事 教 導 人 ， 並 沒 有 人 禁 止 。preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, none forbidding him.💡
