为什么写这卷书
耶利米书写于犹大王国衰亡之际（约公元前627–586年），对象是被掳前后的犹大人与列国。作者耶利米旨在：警告百姓因背约敬拜偶像将面临巴比伦的审判，借哀歌与个人苦情表达神忧伤的心肠，并指向神将来赦免与复兴的计划，包括新约、弥赛亚国度与外邦列国的结局，呼召人在绝望中仍以信心仰望神的信实。

主要主题
审判与公义
耶利米宣告犹大因背约、拜偶像、行不义将面临巴比伦的审判（耶 4:5-31；21:1-14）。神的公义要求罪恶必须受到刑罚。
新约与更新的应许
在审判之中，神应许赐下新约，将律法写在心上，并赦免罪孽（耶 31:31-34）。这新约指向更彻底的救赎与内在的更新。
先知使命与受苦
耶利米蒙召作列国的先知（耶 1:5），却遭受拒绝、迫害与内心挣扎（耶 11:18-23；20:7-18），显示忠于神话语者所付的代价。
悔改与回转

与基督的关联
耶利米书多处指向基督：(1) ‘公义的苗裔’耶 23:5-6，大卫的后裔要作公义的君王，新约引用此节指向耶稣（路 1:68-79）；(2) ‘新约’耶 31:31-34 由希伯来书 8-10 章应用在基督身上，祂以自己的血立了新约，使罪得赦免；(3) 耶利米本人被称为‘流泪的先知’，其受苦与内心挣扎预表基督的哀哭与被拒（路 19:41-44）；(4) 耶利米被扔在井中却蒙拯救（耶 38 章），预示基督死而复活。整卷书指向那位真正成就救赎、赐下新约心意的弥赛亚。

- 2.猶 大 王 亞 們 的 兒 子 約 西 亞 在 位 十 三 年 耶 和 華 的 話 臨 到 耶 利 米 。to whom the word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
- 3.從 猶 大 王 約 西 亞 的 兒 子 約 雅 敬 在 位 的 時 候 ， 直 到 猶 大 王 約 西 亞 的 兒 子 西 底 家 在 位 的 末 年 ， 就 是 十 一 年 五 月 間 耶 路 撒 冷 人 被 擄 的 時 候 ， 耶 和 華 的 話 也 常 臨 到 耶 利 米 。It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

- 5.我 未 將 你 造 在 腹 中 ， 我 已 曉 得 你 ； 你 未 出 母 胎 ， 我 已 分 別 你 為 聖 ； 我 已 派 你 作 列 國 的 先 知 。Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.
- 6.我 就 說 ： 主 耶 和 華 啊 ， 我 不 知 怎 樣 說 ， 因 為 我 是 年 幼 的 。Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! behold, I know not how to speak; for I am a child.
- 7.耶 和 華 對 我 說 ： 你 不 要 說 我 是 年 幼 的 ， 因 為 我 差 遣 你 到 誰 那 裡 去 ， 你 都 要 去 ； 我 吩 咐 你 說 甚 麼 話 ， 你 都 要 說 。But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for to whomsoever I shall send thee thou shalt go, and whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak.
- 8.你 不 要 懼 怕 他 們 ， 因 為 我 與 你 同 在 ， 要 拯 救 你 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。Be not afraid because of them; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.
- 9.於 是 耶 和 華 伸 手 按 我 的 口 ， 對 我 說 ： 我 已 將 當 說 的 話 傳 給 你 。Then Jehovah put forth his hand, and touched my mouth; and Jehovah said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth:
- 10.看 哪 ， 我 今 日 立 你 在 列 邦 列 國 之 上 ， 為 要 施 行 拔 出 、 拆 毀 、 毀 壞 、 傾 覆 ， 又 要 建 立 、 栽 植 。see, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.
- 11.耶 和 華 的 話 又 臨 到 我 說 ： 「 耶 利 米 ， 你 看 見 甚 麼 ？ 」 我 說 ： 「 我 看 見 一 根 杏 樹 枝 。 」Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond-tree.
- 12.耶 和 華 對 我 說 ： 「 你 看 得 不 錯 ； 因 為 我 留 意 保 守 我 的 話 ， 使 得 成 就 。 」Then said Jehovah unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I watch over my word to perform it.
- 13.耶 和 華 的 話 第 二 次 臨 到 我 說 ： 「 你 看 見 甚 麼 ？ 」 我 說 ： 「 我 看 見 一 個 燒 開 的 鍋 ， 從 北 而 傾 。 」And the word of Jehovah came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a boiling caldron; and the face thereof is from the north.
- 14.耶 和 華 對 我 說 ： 「 必 有 災 禍 從 北 方 發 出 ， 臨 到 這 地 的 一 切 居 民 。 」Then Jehovah said unto me, Out of the north evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
- 15.耶 和 華 說 ： 「 看 哪 ， 我 要 召 北 方 列 國 的 眾 族 ； 他 們 要 來 ， 各 安 座 位 在 耶 路 撒 冷 的 城 門 口 ， 周 圍 攻 擊 城 牆 ， 又 要 攻 擊 猶 大 的 一 切 城 邑 。For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith Jehovah; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
- 16.至 於 這 民 的 一 切 惡 ， 就 是 離 棄 我 、 向 別 神 燒 香 、 跪 拜 自 己 手 所 造 的 ， 我 要 發 出 我 的 判 語 ， 攻 擊 他 們 。And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
- 17.所 以 你 當 束 腰 ， 起 來 將 我 所 吩 咐 你 的 一 切 話 告 訴 他 們 ； 不 要 因 他 們 驚 惶 ， 免 得 我 使 你 在 他 們 面 前 驚 惶 。Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at them, lest I dismay thee before them.
- 18.看 哪 ， 我 今 日 使 你 成 為 堅 城 、 鐵 柱 、 銅 牆 ， 與 全 地 和 猶 大 的 君 王 、 首 領 、 祭 司 ， 並 地 上 的 眾 民 反 對 。For, behold, I have made thee this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
- 19.他 們 要 攻 擊 你 ， 卻 不 能 勝 你 ； 因 為 我 與 你 同 在 ， 要 拯 救 你 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to deliver thee.
