- 1.以 掃 就 是 以 東 ， 他 的 後 代 記 在 下 面 。Now these are the generations of Esau (the same is Edom).

- 7.因 為 二 人 的 財 物 群 畜 甚 多 ， 寄 居 的 地 方 容 不 下 他 們 ， 所 以 不 能 同 居 。For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojournings could not bear them because of their cattle.
- 8.於 是 以 掃 住 在 西 珥 山 裡 ； 以 掃 就 是 以 東 。And Esau dwelt in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
- 9.以 掃 是 西 珥 山 裡 以 東 人 的 始 祖 ， 他 的 後 代 記 在 下 面 。And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
- 10.以 掃 眾 子 的 名 字 如 下 。 以 掃 的 妻 子 亞 大 生 以 利 法 ； 以 掃 的 妻 子 巴 實 抹 生 流 珥 。these are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
- 11.以 利 法 的 兒 子 是 提 幔 、 阿 抹 、 洗 玻 、 迦 坦 、 基 納 斯 。And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
- 12.亭 納 是 以 掃 兒 子 以 利 法 的 妾 ； 他 給 以 利 法 生 了 亞 瑪 力 。 這 是 以 掃 的 妻 子 亞 大 的 子 孫 。And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these are the sons of Adah, Esau's wife.
- 13.流 珥 的 兒 子 是 拿 哈 、 謝 拉 、 沙 瑪 、 米 撒 。 這 是 以 掃 妻 子 巴 實 抹 的 子 孫 。And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Basemath, Esau's wife.

- 18.以 掃 的 妻 子 阿 何 利 巴 瑪 的 子 孫 中 ， 有 耶 烏 施 族 長 、 雅 蘭 族 長 、 可 拉 族 長 。 這 是 從 以 掃 妻 子 ， 亞 拿 的 女 兒 ， 阿 何 利 巴 瑪 子 孫 中 所 出 的 族 長 。And these are the sons of Oholibamah, Esau's wife: chief Jeush, chief Jalam, chief Korah: these are the chiefs that came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
- 19.以 上 的 族 長 都 是 以 掃 的 子 孫 ； 以 掃 就 是 以 東 。These are the sons of Esau, and these are their chiefs: the same is Edom.
- 20.那 地 原 有 的 居 民 ─ 何 利 人 西 珥 的 子 孫 記 在 下 面 ： 就 是 羅 坍 、 朔 巴 、 祭 便 、 亞 拿 、These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,
- 21.底 順 、 以 察 、 底 珊 。 這 是 從 以 東 地 的 何 利 人 西 珥 子 孫 中 所 出 的 族 長 。and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan: these are the chiefs that came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

- 25.亞 拿 的 兒 子 是 底 順 ； 亞 拿 的 女 兒 是 阿 何 利 巴 瑪 。And these are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
