  8. 8.他 若 說 ： 有 點 的 歸 你 作 工 價 ， 羊 群 所 生 的 都 有 點 ； 他 若 說 ： 有 紋 的 歸 你 作 工 價 ， 羊 群 所 生 的 都 有 紋 。If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the flock bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstreaked shall be thy wages; then bare all the flock ringstreaked.
  9. 9.這 樣 ， 　 神 把 你 們 父 親 的 牲 畜 奪 來 賜 給 我 了 。Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.
  10. 10.羊 配 合 的 時 候 ， 我 夢 中 舉 目 一 看 ， 見 跳 母 羊 的 公 羊 都 是 有 紋 的 、 有 點 的 、 有 花 斑 的 。And it came to pass at the time that the flock conceive, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled.

  17. 17.雅 各 起 來 ， 使 他 的 兒 子 和 妻 子 都 騎 上 駱 駝 ，Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon the camels;
  18. 18.又 帶 著 他 在 巴 旦 亞 蘭 所 得 的 一 切 牲 畜 和 財 物 ， 往 迦 南 地 、 他 父 親 以 撒 那 裡 去 了 。and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, to go to Isaac his father unto the land of Canaan.

  26. 26.拉 班 對 雅 各 說 ： 你 做 的 是 甚 麼 事 呢 ？ 你 背 著 我 偷 走 了 ， 又 把 我 的 女 兒 們 帶 了 去 ， 如 同 用 刀 劍 擄 去 的 一 般 。And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters as captives of the sword?
  27. 27.你 為 甚 麼 暗 暗 地 逃 跑 ， 偷 著 走 ， 並 不 告 訴 我 ， 叫 我 可 以 歡 樂 、 唱 歌 、 擊 鼓 、 彈 琴 的 送 你 回 去 ？Wherefore didst thou flee secretly, and steal away from me, and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth and with songs, with tabret and with harp;
  28. 28.又 不 容 我 與 外 孫 和 女 兒 親 嘴 ？ 你 所 行 的 真 是 愚 昧 ！and didst not suffer me to kiss my sons and my daughters? now hast thou done foolishly.
  29. 29.我 手 中 原 有 能 力 害 你 ， 只 是 你 父 親 的 　 神 昨 夜 對 我 說 ： 你 要 小 心 ， 不 可 與 雅 各 說 好 說 歹 。It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
  30. 30.現 在 你 雖 然 想 你 父 家 ， 不 得 不 去 ， 為 甚 麼 又 偷 了 我 的 神 像 呢 ？And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?
  31. 31.雅 各 回 答 拉 班 說 ： 恐 怕 你 把 你 的 女 兒 從 我 奪 去 ， 所 以 我 逃 跑 。And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Lest thou shouldest take thy daughters from me by force.
  32. 32.至 於 你 的 神 像 ， 你 在 誰 那 裡 搜 出 來 ， 就 不 容 誰 存 活 。 當 著 我 們 的 眾 弟 兄 ， 你 認 一 認 ， 在 我 這 裡 有 甚 麼 東 西 是 你 的 ， 就 拿 去 。 原 來 雅 各 不 知 道 拉 結 偷 了 那 些 神 像 。With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, he shall not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

  34. 34.拉 結 已 經 把 神 像 藏 在 駱 駝 的 馱 簍 裡 ， 便 坐 在 上 頭 。 拉 班 摸 遍 了 那 帳 棚 ， 並 沒 有 摸 著 。Now Rachel had taken the teraphim, and put them in the camel's saddle, and sat upon them. And Laban felt about all the tent, but found them not.
  35. 35.拉 結 對 他 父 親 說 ： 現 在 我 身 上 不 便 ， 不 能 在 你 面 前 起 來 ， 求 我 主 不 要 生 氣 。 這 樣 ， 拉 班 搜 尋 神 像 ， 竟 沒 有 搜 出 來 。And she said to her father, Let not my lord be angry that I cannot rise up before thee; for the manner of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the teraphim.
  36. 36.雅 各 就 發 怒 斥 責 拉 班 說 ： 我 有 甚 麼 過 犯 ， 有 甚 麼 罪 惡 ， 你 竟 這 樣 火 速 的 追 我 ？And Jacob was wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast hotly pursued after me?
  37. 37.你 摸 遍 了 我 一 切 的 家 具 ， 你 搜 出 甚 麼 來 呢 ？ 可 以 放 在 你 我 弟 兄 面 前 ， 叫 他 們 在 你 我 中 間 辨 別 辨 別 。Whereas thou hast felt about all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? Set it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us two.
  38. 38.我 在 你 家 這 二 十 年 ， 你 的 母 綿 羊 、 母 山 羊 沒 有 掉 過 胎 。 你 群 中 的 公 羊 ， 我 沒 有 吃 過 ；These twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she-goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flocks have I not eaten.
  39. 39.被 野 獸 撕 裂 的 ， 我 沒 有 帶 來 給 你 ， 是 我 自 己 賠 上 。 無 論 是 白 日 ， 是 黑 夜 ， 被 偷 去 的 ， 你 都 向 我 索 要 。That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.
  40. 40.我 白 日 受 盡 乾 熱 ， 黑 夜 受 盡 寒 霜 ， 不 得 合 眼 睡 著 ， 我 常 是 這 樣 。Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep fled from mine eyes.
  41. 41.我 這 二 十 年 在 你 家 裡 ， 為 你 的 兩 個 女 兒 服 事 你 十 四 年 ， 為 你 的 羊 群 服 事 你 六 年 ， 你 又 十 次 改 了 我 的 工 價 。These twenty years have I been in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy flock: and thou hast changed my wages ten times.
  42. 42.若 不 是 我 父 親 以 撒 所 敬 畏 的 　 神 ， 就 是 亞 伯 拉 罕 的 　 神 與 我 同 在 ， 你 如 今 必 定 打 發 我 空 手 而 去 。 　 神 看 見 我 的 苦 情 和 我 的 勞 碌 ， 就 在 昨 夜 責 備 你 。Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now hadst thou sent me away empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
  43. 43.拉 班 回 答 雅 各 說 ： 這 女 兒 是 我 的 女 兒 ， 這 些 孩 子 是 我 的 孩 子 ， 這 些 羊 群 也 是 我 的 羊 群 ； 凡 在 你 眼 前 的 都 是 我 的 。 我 的 女 兒 並 他 們 所 生 的 孩 子 ， 我 今 日 能 向 他 們 做 甚 麼 呢 ？And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children whom they have borne?
  44. 44.來 罷 ！ 你 我 二 人 可 以 立 約 ， 作 你 我 中 間 的 證 據 。And now come, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee.
  45. 45.雅 各 就 拿 一 塊 石 頭 立 作 柱 子 ，And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.
  46. 46.又 對 眾 弟 兄 說 ： 你 們 堆 聚 石 頭 。 他 們 就 拿 石 頭 來 堆 成 一 堆 ， 大 家 便 在 旁 邊 吃 喝 。And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made a heap: and they did eat there by the heap.
  47. 47.拉 班 稱 那 石 堆 為 伊 迦 爾 撒 哈 杜 他 ， 雅 各 卻 稱 那 石 堆 為 迦 累 得 ( 都 是 以 石 堆 為 證 的 意 思 ) 。And Laban called it Jegar-saha-dutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
  48. 48.拉 班 說 ： 今 日 這 石 堆 作 你 我 中 間 的 證 據 。 因 此 這 地 方 名 叫 迦 累 得 ，And Laban said, This heap is witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed:
  49. 49.又 叫 米 斯 巴 ， 意 思 說 ： 我 們 彼 此 離 別 以 後 ， 願 耶 和 華 在 你 我 中 間 鑒 察 。and Mizpah, for he said, Jehovah watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.
  50. 50.你 若 苦 待 我 的 女 兒 ， 又 在 我 的 女 兒 以 外 另 娶 妻 ， 雖 沒 有 人 知 道 ， 卻 有 　 神 在 你 我 中 間 作 見 證 。If thou shalt afflict my daughters, and if thou shalt take wives besides my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.
  51. 51.拉 班 又 說 ： 你 看 我 在 你 我 中 間 所 立 的 這 石 堆 和 柱 子 。And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold the pillar, which I have set betwixt me and thee.
  52. 52.這 石 堆 作 證 據 ， 這 柱 子 也 作 證 據 。 我 必 不 過 這 石 堆 去 害 你 ； 你 也 不 可 過 這 石 堆 和 柱 子 來 害 我 。This heap be witness, and the pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
  53. 53.但 願 亞 伯 拉 罕 的 　 神 和 拿 鶴 的 　 神 ， 就 是 他 們 父 親 的 　 神 ， 在 你 我 中 間 判 斷 。 雅 各 就 指 著 他 父 親 以 撒 所 敬 畏 的 神 起 誓 ，The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the Fear of his father Isaac.
